    Thread concept:

The basic idea is to list new games that you are interested in, as well as games you are potentially curious about or want to give wider attention to. You can briefly describe them or ask other people to help fill you in. The hope is that regular threads like these can act as a collective filter/discovery mechanism to help people decide what is worth checking out.

"New games" means any new title that is being released or ported this month in any capacity (not "backlogs/what you are playing this month"). The angle here is sharing your anticipation and promoting game discovery (as opposed to sharing comments about a first playthrough in progress - that belongs elsewhere).

    • If you want a handy list that covers most of the major upcoming games of the month, here's a couple text lists of upcoming games:

Feel free to post other lists or list videos of upcoming releases that you find useful.

    • Final request: If you are the first person to mention a game please provide (at minimum) a short sentence description. (If it is a very big AAA release though, then don't worry about it.) This is a good convention that makes the thread more useful as a discovery mechanism, and especially helps out anyone who doesn't follow the news as closely as you.

  • I'm gonna treat myself this month haven't bought a game this year. So I've a few potential purchases this month. I'll start with the big releases.

Resident Evil Village. This is day one for me. Loved RE7 & I've played the demo I know I'll love the game

Mass Effect Legendary Edition. I never played any of the dlc for the original trilogy so I would like to have all the games complete & a nice touch up 4K. I wait for the reviews first just to make sure it runs okay.

Biomutant. I'm not sure about this one it looks really cool & breath of fresh air but I'm worried about it because previews a year or 2 ago weren't great but they've had plenty of time to work on it.

R-Type Final 2- Love Scmups & the original R-Type Final. It's not that often these kind of games come to console unless they are budget releases. The reviews seem decent so I'll probably pick that up today.

  • I'm excited to play Resident Evil Village and after playing the two 30 minute demo's I'm even more hyped. I was a big fan of RE7 but I think this has the potential to be even better.

I'm also looking forward to playing Mass Effect: Legendary Edition this month on the 14th. It should be an interesting journey. With a game I never finished (Mass Effect 1), one of my favorite games of all-time (Mass Effect 2), and a game that I enjoyed but had mixed feelings on how it ended (Mass Effect 3).

  • Resident Evil Village is the obvious choice for the game I'm most pumped for in May but Skate City looks like it could be fun. And for you dirty Berties out there, you might indulge in some Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Dry Twice, but it looks like you may not need Kleenex for it so that's a relief.

  • Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne remaster. Finally gonna get to play it with Raidou instead of Dante. May actually finish it now.

  • I'm probably not going to buy many games this month, bought AC New Horizons yesterday and I want to spend a lot of time with that, plus all the backlog I have. If I have the chance, I'm interested in checking out the 2 Famicom Detective Club games, both coming out May 14th.

I'm also paying close attention to the reviews for EDF: World Brothers (May 27th) and Biomutant (May 25th), really curious about both of these.

  • Best month of the blandest year yet. My selection contains these:

    -Residen Evil VIIIage(duh!)
-Mass Effect: Legendary Edition(never played the originals but this is a good opportunity for players like me, though I don't think I'll start it right away and instead probably play it in 1-2 year at earliest)
-Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Dry Twice(i like point&clicks when they do not have so deep, complicated puzzles and prefer them with humour; this game ticks the both of those)
-Biomutant(this one depends on the reviews, if it's meta is above 75-80 i want to check it out but below that is a ''No, thanks'')

  • The Wild at Heart releases on May 20th for PC, Xbox, and Game Pass.
The art style is awesome and I like what I played of the demo when it was available on Steam.
