@bigdude1 yeah Metroid Other M had good advertising but it bit them in the ass when the game came out and everyone found out it was shit.
Samus Returns had good trailers and ads but it was a remake and came out very late into the 3DS life cycle and i remember people even complaining that "why didn't they just make this for switch instead?" at the time it launched
