So it turns out that I missed a lot of games when I looked at the eligible list the first time, and now I got 7 games locked in already, which pretty much knocks out most of the PSP games I thought could get in. Just need to play one more game though, hopefully I can finish it this weekend.

What is so god-tier about The Orange Box is that I had never played any of those games and came out pseudo-addicted to TF2 (even on buggy PS3 version), Portal blew my damn mind, and Half Life 2 was like a revelation to me. Especially City 17 and the vibe of just walking around the environment in first person. It led me to check out games like Riddick and a few more older PC games in the future.
Definitely a game changer for my tastes and I think if it really proved that console gaming was the commercial future.

I can't handle how fucking good 2007 was (and still is).
Like, we have so many ground breaking and revolutionary games in one year (Assassin's Creed, Skate, Rock Band, Portal) that even extremely fun ones like Stranglehold or Crackdown which I absolutely LOVED seem almost impossible to fit in.
I just gotta commit and make cuts... ugh.

Just throwing it out there but I put in about 13 hours in COD4 Remastered in 2021 and I've come to the conclusion that it just doesn't hold up. Too much unbalanced bullshit. The single player is still a classic campaign though, but don't let COD4 MP nostalgia fool you.

I didn't play enough games in 2007. I was on my 5 year gaming sabbatical. If your struggling for votes I could make a small list of games I retrospectively played that year.

Some of my votes are retrospective too. I'd actually say there is a big difference between the games I loved most in 2007 and which one's I prefer today.

@dipset Most of my votes are always retrospective, it's just this particular year I barely played any games . I missed too many big hitters to have an informative opinion.

I see 4 people for most top votes and 1 for most voters. For now, I'll use most top votes for tie-breakers.
If most voters can get more support, I'm okay with doing a straw poll to help decide.

@paulmci27 Two of my picks I played in 2008, one I played a couple of years ago, and one I haven't played, but have seen enough of it to be confident in voting for it. Also, I have no honorable mentions. So, don't be too concerned with your own limited experience with the year. :)

@oscillator I'll wait to see if enough people have voted first. I'd rather informed people had their vote first. I know there's only a few of us left now so I'll see if the OP gets enough votes from a genuine list.

Reminder. We're about a week away from the final day (November 8th) to submit our GOTY lists.
And if anyone wants to make a change, maybe you missed that Two Worlds is a 2007 game. Let me know, and I'll make those changes for you. :)
As it stands now, 13 people have voted. I'm not expecting as many participants as past GOTY votes, but hopefully we get enough to have solid rankings.
