Vote for the EZA Community GOTY 2006
-
@shoulderguy Damn they snubbed my GOTY big time.
-
I was thinking about playing okami before making my list but is it really 33 hours long like it says on HowLongToBeat? O_O
-
@neocweeny yeah that's a big game, wonderful too.
-
Okami is indeed a very long game. Lots of endings, so to speak, and then it still continues. I still liked it a lot! I'm not saying that. Even platinumed it on PS3, did it all.
-
I have a late addition: NeoGeo Battle Coliseum.
Awesome game!
-
NeoGeo Battle Coliseum has been added to the list of eligible games.
Just a heads up for fans of Mother 3 - It's eligible for this year (2006). Nintendo has made it clear that they have no plans to release it outside of Japan, so this is the only year it could be voted on.
Week 1 update: Currently I've received 9 lists with 3 weeks left to vote (January 2nd).
-
So I got 5 eligible games already, but I have 4 more potential picks that are still in my backlog. Let's see if I can manage to try them out before January. Anyway, shoutout to Killzone Liberation and MGS Portable Ops.
-
@bam541 I can't resist the urge to say that when you play Portable Ops on the toilet you will call it Portable Plops.
-
I have another late addition: Far Cry Instincts: Evolution
Also quite an underappreciated game.
I still have a lot of 2006 games still in my backlog:
Driver: Parallel Lines, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Metal Gear Acid 2, KOF: Maximum Impact 2, The King of Fighters Neowave, Hitman: Blood Money, Ultimate Ghosts 'n Goblins, Mega Man ZX, Ōkami, Final Fantasy XII, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent (old gen), SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs: Combined AssaultMaybe I will still play one or two of them before making my list though I can already compile a pretty solid top 8 already.
-
@neocweeny the map builder in that game alone had me looking real hard into buying an Xbox of some sort.
-
@neocweeny said in Vote for the EZA Community GOTY 2006:
SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs: Combined Assault
Maybe I'm not a true SOCOM fan and I'm misremembering, but I think Combined Assault was the 2006 PS2 version of DLC for SOCOM 3. Same game but with new multiplayer maps and glitches patched. Online co-op was added.
-
@dipset I haven't played the game yet but I thought it had a completely new single player compaign.
-
@neocweeny I just looked it up and apparently there are 18 new campaign missions. I have NO IDEA how I ever missed this. I really loved the SOCOM 3 campaign so I'll have to play this at some point. Too bad I never took advantage of the co-op when the servers were up.
-
@dipset Yeah, Socom 3 was great!
-
Bumping this up. Two weeks left to vote.
-
Bumping this up again. There's one week left to vote.
I've received 11 lists so far and I'd like to get over 20 again, so remember to send in your list before January 2nd.
-
2 days left to vote!
I've received 12 lists. Even just two or three more lists would probably be enough to help fill out the top 20. So if anyone is interested in voting but needs more time - let me know and I'll add more days to vote.
-
I haven't received any new lists yet and someone requested more time so I'm adding one more week to vote. On January 9th I'll start revealing the results.
-
@shoulderguy I've asked Brandon to give us a shout out on Cup of Jones. Also, can you please update voting close date in the top post, so that new members coming here knew that voting is still open.
-
Bumping this up. We have 13 lists now and we need more! January 9th is the last day to vote!
@E_Zed_Eh_Intern @brunojoey @Nimbat1003 @Axel @Crepe @Tearju-Engi @Scotty @DemonPirate You all voted in the last GOTY election but I haven't heard from you yet. If you wish to participate, please send in your votes!
