I'm not surprised, guy planned for Xenogears to be like 9 games long, and Xenosaga was supposed to be 6.

@danjin44 It doesn't prove they were planning a 3, and the end of 2 wrapped up both 1 and 2's connection already until 3 comes up with some new reasons for all this to be going down.

@mbun You say there is no evidence they plan the 3rd game, but like DMCMaster pointed out Takahashi is known for planning sequels ahead of times, I definitely believe he planned for the 3rd game.

To be fair this also seems like the first time he's been able to actually do his full intended story without cutting it short or trying to shoehorn 4 other games worth of plot developments into a single game (Xenosaga 3)

Not often you see games getting pushed forward. Great that it is getting released in the summer. Usually a pretty quiet period for new releases.

@mbun i think the swapping of release dates is a combination of things
Splatoon 3 likely needed a little bit more polish with it's online gameplay aspect while Xenoblade was ready to go.
also September is starting to ramp up things just before the annual holiday season and Nintendo likely see's Splatoon with much bigger sales potential than Xenoblade so Splatoon would help the Momentum going forward alot easier duirng the holidays while we keep waiting for the delayed BOTW 2

they are definitely filling a huge gap they were going to have in the lineup. it still makes me question what the last quarter is going to be without zelda. Metroid?!

@bigdude1 We already know Pokemon is going to be there, and that's really all they need for the holidays.
