i've got my special pre-order in. Nintendo Australia is still taking pre orders even 9 hours after our order link went up. hopefully i might be able to even get myself a second copy of the special edition.

Trying to get the collectors edition was the hardest preorder experience I ever had.

@bigdude1 in Australia my experience smooth sailing.
the Australian My Nintendo had it avaliable for pre order for literally about 13 hours until from 12pm until i went to sleep at about 1am that night.
it was only when i woke up the next morning it had sold out. Nintendo did say they're going to release more stock in the US soon so it sounds like there should be plenty of special editions to go around across the world

So let me get this straight? You pay for this special edition but receive what you paid for in... stages?

@sheria well they pushed the release date up so they're probs having trouble making enough stock of all the SE artbools and boxes in time for release.
It doesn't bother me though, the artbooks can contain spoilers so i was going to play through the game first before i looked at the artbook anyway

If I can snag a CE I'll be happy, if not also happy because hey more Xenoblade. Although it would be nice to have the CE for 1-3

i'm happy i managed to get the collectors edition. but i am also disappointed at the same time. this special edition only has an artbook and a steelbook. it doesn't have anywhere as much stuff in it as what the Xenoblade 2 and Xenoblade Definitive editon special editions got which had stuff like a soundtrack included with them
hell they're not even giving us a hardcover book this time. just a stupid softcover book

@neocweeny EU special edition will be the same. don't ask me why Europe pre-orders don't go live until late July though.
Australia is also a PAL region and they let us make our pre-orders on the same day that they let the US pre-order the special edition.
the Australian and European special edition has been delayed until about September though. the Australian My Nintendo Store said they will post us the special edition in 2 seperate stages.
they'll post us the physical game itself on Launch day, but the rest of the special edition like the Artbook and SE box will be posted to us later in about September or so. i guess that's just the price we have to pay for getting the game early in the first place.

North American online store no longer lists Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Special Edition.
I don't know what that means.
