It released December 2004 for Arcade. If you want to count the PS2 version as the true first release, then that's okay with me.

@shoulderguy I think previously we also looked at home console releases.

@neocweeny I don't have a problem with going by the home console release year going forward. It shouldn't be an issue as long as the same game doesn't receive votes for multiple different GOTY elections.
Tekken 5 has been added to the list of eligible games.

@shoulderguy I remember having an argument about it with Alex for our 2000 list regarding Metal Slug 3 which wasn't eligible because it's home port in the west wasn't released until 2001 (according to him).

@neocweeny Oh, that's why I don't remember that rule, because that was before I started participating in these GOTY elections.
