Ok. Since I don't think I'll be able to talk about many games I can just rapid fire all that come up and touch on something adjacent:
Ultimate Spider-Man: The only Spider-Man games I've played are the Insominac ones (Just discussed 2018 in the Insomniac countdown and I've only had one session with Miles Morales and I'm already 40% completed...), so no real connection outside of that.
Fight Night: Round 2: Not a boxing fan in the slightest. Complete skip for me.
Ikaruga: Interesting cover/box-art, but not into Shmups.
Luigi's Mansion: Of this first batch of reveals, this one stands out to me the most, and I know it's become a pretty solid series overall, but I've never vibed with many of Nintendo's first party catalogue. Still, it's a neat concept to this day and credit to Nintendo for trying something weird.
-
I only dabbled in Luigi's Mansion on the 3DS, and I feel it's really cool that Luigi got his own spotlight for once. I'm pleased that in the past decade we got two further sequels after almost a decade without an entry in the franchise.

Luigi's Mansion is a fantastic tech demo for the GameCube. Wonderful lighting, animation, and physics. If it had released after launch, the cramped, repetitive gameplay might've gotten a bit heckled, but it didn't, and it didn't. :-)
Luigi's Mansion 3 looks a lot more fleshed out, and I'm really looking forward to it (my backlog is stuffed, though)!

I'll say right now there were a lot of games that scored equal points, so this top 20 is looking rather like a top 11. The good news is we have a clear top 6 with no ties.
-
The only Metroid Prime exposure I have is watching Damiani's full playthrough of the first from WAAAYYYY back and by the end of it I kind of had my fill, which is a shame because heading in I was set on watching a full playthrough of the whole trilogy. Now, with so much else vying for my attention/time, this is something that I might watch at some point, but it'll be a while.
-
Metroid Prime 2 I would like to play eventually, but I am holding out hope for the Switch. Or Switch 2 at this point. I stopped at the beginning of the year at the Underwater area. Maybe I'll go back to it, but I was enjoying myself regardless!
-
I'm glad Luigi's Mansion is on the list eventhough I didn't vote for it. It's a good time.
Ikaruga was recently on our top 20 2003 games. I said what I had to say there.
Metroid Prime 2 is one of my favorites in the series. Definitely my favorite 3D Metroid. It's similar to the first Prime but just does a little bit more and is more challenging.

Don't sleep on Ultimate Spider-Man. This game rules. You get to play as Venom and fight Wolverine. You do races with the Human Torch. Shit's awesome.

Resident Evil 4 is definitely one of my favorite games ever but I voted for another game in the series because RE4 was only exclusive for a short time and to be honest I thought this would be number 1 even without my vote but I guess I was wrong XD

Regarding Resident Evil 4, I'm going to pull my comment from our recent countdown:
"Admittedly, it's (a) game... I haven't played, but I've watched a playthrough a couple times. I've stated several times how Huber has made me a casual fan of the franchise, but this was an RE game as a viewer I just didn't like watching (for comparison, by the time I first watched this playthrough, I had seen VII, 2 Remake, REmake, and 3make). As a viewer, this game drags on for a WHILE, plus aside from Leon, none of the other characters were interesting to me (to say nothing of Ashley). I also don't like scenarios where you have to survive for an undetermined amount of time (which is why I think Village's first combat encounter is the worst part of the game as a viewer), so the beginning is annoying. I do commend RE4's efforts in mixing up the enemy types (especially Las Plagas), and perhaps my favorite thing about this game is the inventory management (Tangent: If you haven't seen the recent Easy Update where Isla and Huber play a game on Steam called 'Safe Room' where someone turned the inventory management into a puzzle game, it's awesome. I hope the indie-dev can get some budget, polish it up a bit, and put it on console. It's RAD.) Also, mixing up the locations between the village, castle, island, and others keeps it environmentally fresh (though a lot of the castle seems annoying to playthrough). Overall, I don't regret watching it, and yes, because Huber has me on the hook.. I will watch a playthrough of (the Remake next year), but unlike VII (and 2 Remake), it's not a game I want to own, much less rewatch beyond what I just stated."
I've already talked about how Spider-man (2018) and Miles Morales are the only Spider-Man exposure I've had, and I have no connection to SSX, so I can't comment on that.
