@MCRMJ I'll do whatever I can to help this amazing community that we have here. Spam is frustrating to all of us, so I'll keep on reporting whenever I see those pop up.

FYI, Brent updated some of the new rules. So try to help legitimate new users out by giving them some rep.
"I updated some of the rules regarding new users posting. They cannot post for a full day, and before they get 10 rep, they can only post every 2 minutes."
We're also looking into a new plugin which should help cut the spam down.

@Bloodworth I believe the 2 minute rule may have affected more users than just the new ones. I received an error telling me, "You can only post once every 120 second(s) - please wait before posting again."

@Bloodworth The first new rule doesn't sound like a good idea to me.
We're basically penalising legitimate users from posting and only delaying the spam by a day which won't be apparent from the outside .
I don't know, it just seems like we're punishing new users more than the spam.
@tokeeffe9 Yeah, it's a bit much. I'm reducing it a bit to be more balanced.
New spam plug in is installed. It won't be 100%, but it's caught several posts already.
Thats awesome! will give us time to take a small breath :D at least now we should be able to avoid the walls of spam that has been before

All of this spam would have been reduced if you had chosen the correct forum software from day one. I already suggested xenForo when the forum first opened.
A plugin would fix things, but it's like you said bloodworth, it's not 100%. Many CAPTCHA programs have been broken, just keep in mind.
