    • RE: Bosman at Home?

I'd really love to see it return as a full-on show, but really I want Kyle to do what he thinks is best for both the show and himself. He hosts the podcast, which is awesome, maybe it's best he save Bosman at Home for when he has an episode he wants to make, instead of it being a scheduled/regular show.

    • RE: "Stranding" is another term for Beaching.

@marcel said in "Stranding" is another term for Beaching.:

This is probably just a temporary game title or a subtitle like "Phantom Pain". We probably won't hear any more about this until next year though :)

Came here to drop this. It's very likely a stand-in title. It's also very likely the trailer was just a flavor/tone piece and not anything to do with what the game will really look/be like. Kojima loves this stuff. Well, we love it too, but he loves this stuff.

    • RE: Are you buying into VR this year?

I bought an Oculus DK2 when they were available back when, used it for a few weeks, then sold it to a dude in Russia. It was nice, and made playing Elite Dangerous a lot of fun, but it wasn't worth the price I paid in GPU upgrades (which I returned) or the price of the headset itself. I actually ended up turning a profit on the whole ordeal due to the resale. It wasn't only the cost that made me back out while I could, though. I knew a war was coming in VR, between Oculus and whoever joined the game later, which ended up being Valve.

Once the dust settles some and the cost drops I'll be happy to give it another shot. I really did enjoy it, but I'm glad I bailed when I did. I'd for sure be getting it on PC, though, not PS VR or anything Xbox does (unless it's also able to be used on PC, such as if it was just an Oculus headset). I had a ton of fun looking for and playing homebrew VR stuff, at least half of my time with it was indie stuff. I'd miss out on that on console I think.

    • RE: What are you reading right now?

The Martian. It's such an easy and fast to read book. I read half of it last time I picked it up, and next time I pick it up I'll probably finish off the other half. Entertaining, doesn't ask too much of the reader, not super long. Nice light reading.

@SweetJohnnyCage I think it'd be safer to err on the side of less categories until we see what kind of threads are made regularly and if it'd be beneficial to create more.

    • RE: E3 Nega-predictions

@Hoken Oh that would cut so deep to have it be VR-only.

I know Blizzard wouldn't, but I wanted to throw it out anyway. More as a fun example.

    • E3 Nega-predictions

Lets try something a little different.

Lets say your E3 dream prediction comes true. Something that's way out there. Nearly impossible. Almost zero-chance of it happening. But it does.

What asterisk could be attached to it that'd totally ruin it for you? Again these are hypothetical long-shots, not just something you're sure will happen and what about it you wouldn't like. We're talking being handed a box addressed to you that says "Contents: That thing you dreamed about being at E3", you open it, look inside, and your heart sinks. Let's hear it.

Try to keep it light-hearted and fun.

For me it'd be during the PC Game Show. Blizzard walks on stage. "Hey guys, we heard you like vanilla." Behind him. Trailer. Shows an Orc warrior using the new player model, facing away. As it turns around it fades back to the old player model. Crowd going crazy. Rafters are shaking. Earth is rumbling. We see a player unit-frame in the top left, level 100. The digits start counting back. People are screaming. The number freezes at 60. People are crying and holding each other like a 100 years war just ended and they were the victors. Then the camera zooms out, and we see he's still standing in the new, post-Cata Barrens. Their vision of vanilla is just a 60 level cap and the Dark Portal turned off. Everyone in the room falls silent and stares at the floor for the rest of the show.

    • Staff/Allies names+badges?

Do EZA crew/staff have badges or other distinguishing marks on the forum? It would be handy to have so we can know who/when someone is speaking officially.

@Olf_Himself As someone who's played and DM'd before, I know the struggle of giving freedom without giving control. I'm hoping we can have it both ways.

    • RE: Show specific forum

How should the "Shows" forum be used? Should we run it neogaf style where there are only mega-threads, or is it okay to make threads for specific episodes? I personally would greatly prefer the second style, so that discussions can be separated without having to follow usernames up a page to follow a conversation that may pertain to a single episode.

    • RE: Tabletop Escapades - Official Discussion Thread [Spoilers]

"And the main quest was never seen again."

I hope the party gets back on track somehow, I was legit intrigued by the prologue and the first act with the cave/hideout the party went through. Slowing getting more information on who/what they're up against. I'd read a book to get the rest of that story.

I'm still very much enjoying it as an improv show, and it's still great fun, but man if we never get any more of the main quest after such a solid opener it'll be a shame.

    • RE: What was your Huber Moment in the past? What about next week?

Mine is depressing. When I saw that Red Ash was being kickstarted, and I realized that it was going to be MegaMan Legends 3 in spirit, I was beyond happy. I was leaning back in my chair after reading about it, and was just so relieved I was going to get to go back to that world, at least in spirit.

Then I realized that Mighty Number 9 wasn't shaping up so hot, that it was also alongside a second Kickstarter for an anime nobody asked for. Then it sunk it that it really wasn't going to fill the void. On top of that over the next few weeks it became obvious it wasn't going to hit funding. Then a publisher swooped in and they still asked for more money for "extra" stuff.

It was a rollercoaster of being pulled up to a high I thought I'd never see, then sliding down right back to the low I felt when MML3 was axed.

    • RE: Any Allies Tuning in to Games Done Quick?

I usually just catch highlights after it's all said and done. I love the mastery on display and the passion behind it, but I'm just not game to watch an hours and hours long stream. I've always read up on the goings on and have even tuned in to donate once because it's a great event, but I almost never watch entire segments of it in person.

    • Bosman at Home?

Is this fair game? I know it's not part of the official Easy Allies channel, but it's still something I look forward to being surprised with. The Final Bosman was my favorite GT show. It felt really genuine. I wasn't being sold anything. The earlier episodes were my favorite out of the original run, because some of them were just food for thought, or philosophical, rather then being news pieces.

I'm really glad Kyle is still doing this as a thing, and that he's got 100% freedom to make them as often or far apart and as short or long as he'd like.
