Everhood. It looks trippy and weird as heck. I haven't played Undertale so I can't say too much about the comparisons people are making, but a lot of people did say that the tone and vibe of it is like Undertale (I think they used the same exact font). The other big thing about the game is that there's rhythm based combat, you get to dodge and reflect the enemies' attacks while listening to some crazy tunes. The trailer right below is the first thing I ever saw of this game, and it's pretty great. It's coming March 4th.

After being delayed out of Summer, Pixeljunk Eden 2 is finally releasing. Really looking forward to it. 2D Platformer where you swing around abstract "gardens" while collecting Pollen to grow the garden to progress. Soundtrack by Baiyon if you remember him from Day of the Devs where he made a song from ice in a cup. This next one I can't speak as highly of, but lots of people been waiting years and years for it to finally release. If you're into games like Earthbound, Undertale, or Yume Nikki, then it is probably worth at least keeping an eye on. Only PC for now, but they've said it'll come to Switch later in the past if you want to wait for that.

I didn't realize how stacked this month is until now, there's like 8 games I'm interested in. I don't think I need to explain Crash 4, Star Wars Squadrons, and WD Legion. Here's the rest of em'. I Am Dead (Oct 8) Youtube Video Cloudpunk (coming to consoles Oct 15, already on PC) Youtube Video Rajj: An Ancient Epic (Oct 15) Youtube Video Carto (Oct 27) Youtube Video Ghostrunner (Oct 27) Youtube Video If I had to pick only one for this month (and I'll probably have to), it's gonna be WD Legion. After finishing Ghost of Tsushima, I really want to dive in into another good open world game, and WD2 is one of my favorite open world games from this generation, so I have high hopes for Legion. I would also really consider buying SW Squadrons and Rajj and going broke in the process. There's too many cool games, man.

Every now and then my friends and I like to do things similar to the EZA Tiermaker Stream. Usually 2-5 of us rate things (most often the MCU) by making our own Tiermaker lists then sharing pictures of them. We then argue over why someone put something so low or so high. It might be fun to have a Tiermaker topic on the forums here, but I could see things getting out of hand with how much arguing has gone on in the past. As for other personal rankings of things, I kinda never think about it. I don't really think about what score I would give many games (roguelikes being an exception), or what makes a game enjoyable to me. If someone asks me what my favorite food/movie/game etc. is I never really have a concrete response. The way I come up with definitive rankings for something like the forum GOTYs is to take everything I have enjoyed from that year and put them in a row from favorite to least favorite. Then, I ask myself if I enjoyed a game more than the game above it or less than the game below it and move it up or down according to my gut feeling.

I'm stoked for Fall Guys as well, no excuse for me to miss out especially since it's free on PS Plus (unless PSN Asia doesn't get that one). I'm also curious about Windbound and Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time. It will be mostly a backlog month for me though. Hopefully Skater XL shows up on my region's PSN store sometime soon. Beyond Blue arrives tomorrow. This seems almost like a scientific game. A really soothing-looking underwater journey to study marine life. I think I was sold pretty much immediately, I'll most likely get this ASAP. It's for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Beyond Blue - Gameplay Trailer - Available June 11th, 2020 Youtube Video

Watching Damiani play Crisis Core recently got me really hyped for FF7R, I'm certainly not the biggest FF or JPRG fan out there but I really dig FF7's world, at least from the bits I learned from playing Crisis Core back in the day. The most exciting thing for me is a bit unusual: I really want to hear the soundtrack in it's full glory, all the music from the trailers has been so fucking amazing. Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories comes out April 7. It's a janky looking, PS2-era feeling game about surviving a large-scale disaster. I used to obsess over a game called Raw Danger (PS2), and apparently this is like a spiritual successor of it, which I'm totally down for. Youtube Video Sakura Wars has been standing out on the Asia PSN store for a while now, but now that it's getting a western release, it might be the time for me to check it out. I know nothing about the series. There's cool-looking mech action combat gameplay, visual novel (!!!) social parts, and that's all I know. Youtube Video Cloudpunk comes out to Steam on April 23. The trailers look cool, I really dig the look of the game, and the premise sounds cool (it's about delivering packages, with some twist that I don't know yet). Youtube Video

I want to spend more time with my Switch since it's getting a bit dusty (I still can't believe that the main Switch exclusives rarely goes on sale. As someone relatively new to Nintendo's ecosystem, it's the biggest problem I have with the Switch), so I might go with Animal Crossing New Horizons this month. I only tried New Leaf on my friend's 3DS for a hot second so I'm excited to get into AC. Also, Granblue Fantasy Versus's Western Release is coming up very soon (March 3rd). FGC twitter is enjoying it, predictably with the multiplayer delay based netcode being a obvious downer. Youtube Video

Since the stuff I was after got delayed, there is only 1 thing really that I'm after this month. Darksiders: Genesis. I'm a big fan of the series and this game seem to be in a diablo-esk style which I really cant say no to either!

Warcraft III: Reforged is expected to release Jan 28 (although I think it's been delayed before, so...). If you are unfamiliar, Warcraft 3 is a fantasy RTS with a heavy hero unit element and "Warcraft 3: Reforged" is a remake/remaster. For whatever reason, I peg Warcaft 3 as the ending point where people really cared about RTS, but it still holds up as one of the best and was very influential. I love WC3, and I hope this is a straight upgrade over the original.

@GageBlackW23 It's still a very nice prediction though and you do earn points for the "free-for-all" predictions, this just happens to be an unintentional corner case that I should have anticipated.
