RE: Does Microsoft Need A System Seller?
Do they need a system seller? No. For the foreseeable future, they'll be perfectly fine without any steller 'exclusives'. I also don't think play anywhere is hurting them all that much monetarily. The amount of people who will buy every platform for the exclusives is pretty miniscule, so the loss in console sales is probably largely offset by those buying their games on PC. I think it's more important they start laying the groundwork for a ton of great first-party games next 'generation'. One good game probably won't help them all that much, but if they manage to unleash a barrage of good games year after year, that'll surely bring them back to prominence.

RE: What Genre Of Games Do You Play The Most?
Definitely RPGs (only Western ones) closely followed by strategy games. Other than that, it's a hodge-podge of games from FPS' and immersive sims to adventure and simulation games.

RE: Replaying games vs Backlog.
Personally, I try to play something new when I can. I usually get back to older games when nothing coming out interests me. The only exception to this is probably strategy games. Overall, just do what makes you happy, but I think you should at least try something new for a bit before going back to an older title you love.

RE: The EZA Community Top 25 Best of 2017!
This was my list
1: Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus
2: Prey
3: Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice
4: Night in the WoodsHMs:
Divinity: Original Sin 2
Little Nightmares
PUBGIn retrospect, I probably would change it around a bit. Either way, this was clearly an amazing year for video games. I'm kinda disappointed I couldn't play a lot of the highest games on the list as they're mostly console exclusives. I'm kinda surprised Mario and Zelda were so high on the list tbh. I expected them to be pretty low (for their quality obviously. Maybe #9 or #10) as I figured most of us didn't have a Switch. I'm glad they got the positions they likely deserve though.

Wolfenstein II was fantastic in my opinion. I can understand how the story might've bothered some people, but the dialogue and characters were really well written and the wild, out there nature of some of the plot points didn't upset me. In addition, I thought the level design was pretty good. I'll grant that maybe the first one was better in that respect, but I just don't really agree with complaints about it being boring, confusing, convaluted, etc. The weapons and upgrade systems are also great IMO. I do have a couple of complaints. For one, stealth felt less viable in this game. No matter how many times I reloaded my save, I always ended up getting spotted and in a conflict. In addition,.I feel like the difficulty was kinda cheap. The game got extremely difficult at times, and that's ok, but they accomplished that simply by throwing dozens of enemies at you rather than adding stronger enemies or weapons for the most part.

@ffff0 I don't think you need to play the first one (I haven't, and it's been fine for me). Even on the easiest difficulty, it can be quite challenging at times. It's more based on stats and tactics than skill, so reading a guide before beginning would be a good idea.
