@el-shmiablo I've never played Destiny. Does this mean it will be more "tunnels" rather than open world?

RE: Hitman 2 (PS4/PC/XBO) - Nov 13th
@dipset On Professional, doesn't it hide the opportunities better? Oh but then once you find it, it still tells you what the next step is, doesn't it?
I appreciate what you're asking for and maybe there should be an additional setting where you can turn that part off . I also wonder how long some of the opportunities would take to discover - especially when some are on a time limit. Your idea of smaller levels could help. Man, I would have to pee constantly if I had to explore every inch of Colorado to find each opportunity. It was stressful enough when I first started and played for a week before noticing you could save/load.
RE: WTF Is Death Stranding ?
If Kojima is your issue, you prob should have made that the title. As it stands, particularly considering the title, this is just more Death Stranding. +1 for merge.
Personally, I've found the last two showings of this game to be far less frustrating. They've shown some gameplay, and not just walking. We've seen enough that I kind of have a feel for how it will play, which I appreciate. I also felt that yesterday was Kojima's best showing in regards to Death Stranding. He was not cryptic at all and actually almost explained too much, in my opinion.
I was also pretty frustrated with the marketing and how it was celebrated when there was no gameplay shown. I still don't know if it will be a game for me but this is a weird time to call it out after we just finally got what I would consider the first major reveal of the actual game.
RE: [Official] What are you playing?
I cannot, for the life of me, remember who it was but while watching an EZA stream a while back, I asked if RE2 Remake had a Japanese setting. One person in chat ran and turned it on to check for me and confirmed. If you are one here, thank you! My wife and I are just finishing up Leon's A story and will move right in to Claire B. We didn't enjoy it to begin with but I think discovering the power of leg shots made traveling the map far less frustrating. Looking forward to getting to the DLC.
RE: Fighting Games
@Sleepychino69 Wait! There's more Evo to talk about.
Dragonball Fighterz: glad to see Go1 get the Evo win, he seemed pretty pleased. And seeing Sonicfox not win every single thing is always good - no hate, just keeps things fresh.
Soul Calibur 6: I've never played this game but the ending of grand finals looked ridiculous. Did he turn into a car?!
BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle: Shinku, you freak. An American takes a BlazBlue game at Evo. And after getting pretty overwhelmed in the first set, he runs it back 3-0 to take it in losers bracket. Pretty damn impressive.
Street Fighter 5: This was the first year I felt like finals day was wide open in this game. I expected Infexious to take it (and so did Evo organizers, I guess) after he looked so unstoppable on Saturday. It was good to see Bonchan get one after 2014 and it was even better to see him come back from down 2-0 to keep it in winners. Good show to all of the top 8 and especially Bonchan, Infexious, Big Bird and Machabo.
Tekken 7: The best thing to happen to fighting games in the past year is Arslan Ash. The story of just his journey to Evo Japan is inspiring enough that even if he had gone 0-2 in pools, people would have talked about it. But since he showed up as a pretty much unknown and took out all the best players in the world on his way to becoming champ on no sleep, he became a legend. But that was just a fluke, he got lucky and the Koreans were off their game...except then he also won Evo - IN WINNERS. And he was the one who sent Knee to losers so he beat him twice anyway. Nobody knew who this guy was a year ago and now he's the consensus best Tekken 7 player in the world, so nuts.
Smash Ultimate: I was done watching here but insane run by MKLeo through losers bracket to run it back and take the whole thing. I did watch a bit of Grand Finals and the last stock of the first game was preeeetty nuts.
Samurai Shodown: Super cool looking game and comeback mechanics are available to both players at any time, that gets an upvote.
MK11: didn't catch any of it but good for SonicFox for holding on to the belt.
UNIST: Missed all of it. Any highlights of this tournament for anybody?
RE: What Video Game Beat You
I remember playing the original God of War with a friend on hard until the conveyor belts. We tried for days before caving and dropping to normal.
More recently, Uncharted 4 I played on crushing until the mansion. Same deal, days of effort only to eventually concede.
In my younger years? Pretty much every NES and Genesis game I came across.
RE: Nintendo Financial Results - as of 30 June 2019
@yoshi The amount of stuff in Smash still blows my mind. Then when they add a character, they don't just add a character. They add a stage AND songs as part of the deal. Pretty nuts compared to other fighting games.
