It feels like im playing a platforming labour of love, and goodness me its a damn good lookin' game (a Tablet huh?). The bosses so far are slightly easy even with me being not the best at 3d platformers but there are some tricky areas that I cursed quite a lot at (all be it, with a smile on ones face).
I've been really quite lucky over the years and had the means to buy whatever PC and console i've wanted but while I have and will always be a PC gamer(MMOs for the last 18 years), Nintendo have always been my main console.
The Switch is no different, but now I really wish I could play all my games on it. Its perfect for my way of life nowadays and my kids love it too. For me Nintendo really is hitting a homerun this year with the great first party and indie beauts on the system.
I think what many people dont realise(or for some reason dont WANT to realise) is that while it may not have the raw grunt of the Microsoft and Sony consoles it is a beautifully efficient system that is compatable with modern engines. Its a very well made bit of kit overall, even if a very small percent seem to of bent. I think people labelling it as a Gimmik, is a diservice to how good the system is.
Strong Direct overall I think. As much as im hyped for a lot of games inc Xenoblade(december 1st cant come soon enough), I find myself rewatching that Octopath traveler trailer over and over, its quite stunning! Downloading the demo now actually. Nintendo seems to be in a really good place right now.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Xenoblade X is my personal game of the Wii U/Ps4/Xbox1 Generation and somewhat underrated imo and the Original is one of the best Jrpgs ever so I have high hopes for this, it looks stunning although I really wish I could play it in Japanese.
Splatoon 2
I loved the first one ever so much and this looks more of the same with the added bonus of that I can totally take that outside in the garden with a Cider and have some good clean fun... sorta
Super Mario Odyssey
Not a bad opening year for my Switch and probably another GOTY contender, looks hella fun and could overtake Sunshine as my fave 3d Mario!
Monster Hunter World
On PC... yes please.
God Of War
I've never actually played any of the other games but I have to admit this one looks really good, maybe worth picking up a PS4.. for.

Nintendo, overall for me had a very solid E3, I think they did what they needed to do and brought the games.
Xenoblade chronicles 2 was massive for me and its would always be a great thing knowing a new Metroid Prime game is in the works. Also I think SuperMario Odyssy could be quite possibly game of show, PURE FUN.
Beyond good and Evil 2, im not going to lie my eyes started to sweat a little.... overall pretty good stuff from Ubi, I really liked the rabbids/Mario Xcom esque crossover too.
God Of War; I have never played a GoW game but from what I saw, with the story and gameplay. I would probably buy a PS4 to play it.

Im not sure what to put for this, I dont think anyone really had a bad E3.
Weirdos;
Sony, they kinda phoned it in. Nothing was bad, some great games but yeah...hohum.
Microsoft were slightly above Sony IMO but only because they seemed slightly more interested but still something was missing(games).
Mario Sunshine maybe passed as my fave 3D Mario game! It looks awesome, so much fun and that trailer was so Funky my 2 year old son started jumping all over the place and asking for it again when it was done. A proud moment as a father!
BGE2! Did it say what platforms it would be on, I didnt notice.... But oh boy I got goosebumps for thet trailer!
The Xcom Esque Mario crossover actually looks like a lot of fun cant wait to give that a go!
Overall I think that was a pretty solid conference to be honest.
I am so looking forward to this, I havent played for a couple of years( my last one being 4Ult with 500hour into it) so this will get my back into MH. And its really is the perfect system for it to be on, I loved going to the park and hunting then coming back home and doing some online. Now with a really good screen and on TV should be really cool.
Codename S.T.E.A.M is an underrated GEM for the 3ds if you like a bit of stratergy and you can probably get it really cheap.
