@Yoshi Yes, the Guardian was the one I was tempted to keep however I simply don't have the space for them any more, won't be taking them with me if I plan to play Zelda out & about and finally with having a 6 month old who wants to eat everything at the moment....I think it may be best to give it a miss for now haha.

RE: Nintendo Switch Launch/Hype
Overall I am very excited, this will be the first console I have ever picked up on launch day.
I have made some adjustments to my original order (originally had all of the Zelda Amiibo ordered) and currently have:
Grey Switch (have been changing between Neon & Grey for a while but have now settled on the latter)
Zelda BOTW Limited Edition
1 2 Switch
I plan to pick up a few e-shop games at launch and have got a 128GB MicroSD card to accommodate this.
One thing that interested me is that my Wife (who has very little interest in gaming) has seen some Switch adverts on the TV, I originally had zero plans to pick up 1 2 Switch but she pretty much insisted I did....we on holiday for a week in early March and she wants me to bring along the console.
RE: Horizon Zero Dawn (PS4)
Very good reviews all around! I just can't quite justify it to myself when the switch + Zelda is out two days later. Have a feeling Horizon would be end up being left unplayed (my own priorities....not a knock on the quality of the game).
Will probably go for it later on in the year when I have more time to properly dig in.
RE: Switch Day 1 Pre-orders. What have you got?
@Art I am buying the console knowing 3rd party support is likely to be minimal, I think if that is what people are after from the Switch then they are making mistake. I already have a PS4 & PC which covers most of the gaming spectrum however I can't play Nintendo games (now on-the-go) with those.
One of the things that interests me about the Switch is that Nintendo seems to be chasing after the indies rather than the 'big' 3rd parties to bolster their first party games which I think is a pretty good strategy overall and will hopefully stop some of the Wii U game droughts that occurred.
@EvilMonk3y The amiibo are all sold out almost everywhere in the UK, so it might be worth keeping them, even if you just sell them on eBay or something.
Yeah, this is the thing that is stopping me from cancelling them at the moment, they were pretty hard to get a hold of. I just know that when they arrive I will end up wanting to keep them regardless and it is a pretty big outlay.
Switch Day 1 Pre-orders. What have you got?
I was just wondering how deep everyone had gone down the switch pre-order rabbit hole (if you have at all)?
I started off pretty light with just the console and the standard version of Breath of the Wild but that has slowly increased to the below after being able to pick up the UK special edition along with all of the Amiibo...
So I am currently looking at around £425 from Amazon on day one...however I am having some severe reservations about picking up all of the amiibo's now and may reduce it to just 2 (Guardian and Archer). Anyone have any idea how easy/difficult these will be to pick up in the future?
I also have a £30 voucher for GAME that I intend to put towards a case, if I can't find a case I like then I may pick up Bomberman R (dependent upon reviews). Would also like Fast RMX & Snipperclips from the eshop if they are available on release.
RE: Nintendo Switch January 12th Event
That Zelda trailer was soooo damn good. Can't say I was overly bowled over by anything else at all though (even the Mario trailer looked just 'ok' to me....I don't think I am liking some art style choices to be honest).
The console is a bit too expensive here in the UK (but not prohibitively so), the bigger problem is the overall value proposition. Paid online specifically is a blow and the quantity of games I would be interested in just aren't there for myself.
Being honest if I didn't already have a Wii U for Zelda then I would probably pick one up a launch however having to wait for Mario means I will just pick up Zelda for Wii U (I really hope that version is solid) and wait and see what happens with the Switch.
