RE: Twits and Crits
Yaknow, I never even bothered watching the YouTube version, but now that I am...you're absolutely right. It's not heavily edited like most of their content, but there's some moments that are cut out to make the funnies more dense. It's good. And I'm glad the YouTube version is sufficient so nobody really needs the sponsorship :D

Twits and Crits
So Funhaus has a new DnD show, with Elyse Willems (of GameTrailers and Tabletop Adventures) as one of the adventurers.
And she's roleplaying (more or less) as Spervince. She even accidentally refers to her character as Spervince at one point. It's great.
Her new character:
The other Funhaus guys are great too, but I've been needing some good Sperv in my life.
The catch is that the full sessions are for "First members" only right now, which is like $5/month (or less), but there will be edited-down versions for YouTube and there is also a 1-month free trial available.

RE: Online D&D Session
our group has this really weird situation where...were all normally free around certain times, but each of the next few weekends each of us has a prior engagement already in the works. kinda bizarre but itll be starting in august. idk if theres another group going. might be worth starting up another group around a different time. idk.

RE: What was the Last Game that made you Cry Allies?
I don't really keep track of it, but the last one I can think of is Transistor.
Incredible musical score = cheating

RE: Movie Recommendations.
Gattaca: Set in the near-enough future that it doesn't feel like sci-fi (even though it is), this one's definitely worth a watch. Discusses stuff like eugenics and self-determination.
The Hunt for Red October: Absolutely my favorite movie of all time, could watch it a thousand times no problem. Cold War submarine espionage/intrigue/action movie.Lately I've been getting really into AI movies, though none of them have quite done it right as far as I'm concerned. But Her, Ex Machina, and (believe it or not) Age of Ultron all hit on important themes. It's always annoying when the writers go (potentially spoilery trope complaint ahead)
"oh, and then how about the AI becomes the antagonist! That would be such a great and unexpected twist!" Drives me absolutely crazy.

RE: Dumb Game Monday Discussion
PokePark has a sweet real-time implementation of Pokemon battles. It really needs some balancing, of course, but there is huge potential for an actual game just from the combat system.
As a full game, yeah, PokePark is repetitive and simple and childish...but it's a Dumb Game! And I really don't watch streams/videos/whatever for the game, I watch for the dude playing the game. And if I'm being honest, I'm really just listening, only watching about a quarter of the time.
Except for Tetris. Can't tear my eyes away from Tetris.
