Platinum #70 Ghost of Tsushima
Fun game with easy platinum, I can see the pattern Sony is going with first party titles with their trophies.

First initial reaction when seeing the trailer, "Great, at least that there are options?" . I feel like Yakuza's niche is and has always been that it should be in subbed because of it plays out in Japan crime underworld. But I guess it's their way to introduce more people to the franchise and that's good, just my personal opinion that it's a great shame they're slowly losing it's niche and putting way too much effort into the dub.
Platinum #62: Monster Hunter: World. I've been lazy lately when it comes to getting platinums, maybe I'm burnt out.
Another tedious platinum, the grind was real, when I decided to go for platinum it took several hours to find small and large crowns. The last one from the base game took 118 kills and I returned from quest numerous times after doing measurements. Time will tell when I go for Iceborne platinum.
Big Shout out to my actual Game of the Year. Monster Hunter World: Iceborne
My top 8:
Resident Evil 2 Remake
Devil May Cry 5
Disco Elysium
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Judgment, The Outer Worlds, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, A Plague Tale: Innocence
It was easy to put RE2 Remake as my number 1 as the early RE are one of my favorites in the genre.
I'd a more difficult decision between 2-4 as I love them all equally, but I decided to put DMC5 as my 2nd, it's not perfect, but Devil May Cry is finally back and it's glorious. Disco Elysium and Sekiro was my third and fourth, I don't need to add anything about Disco Elysium as everyone have mentioned it, Sekiro, it's a good game with solid combat, however, it's not my favorite FROM Software game.
I loved Judgment, but not my favorite RGG game even tho I could relate to the main plot, I've my reasons to be disappointed at it, not a fan of localizations team new direction and it's a common problem with all localization teams.
Big shout out to Days Gone, Shenmue III who didn't make my list. Also shout out to Control, I loved what I played of it, but I gave up on it. I couldn't stand the continous blinking lights, it only gave me a headache in the longrun.
FE:TH is a game I'll get around to play soon now that I finally have a Switch, probably after all the spring releases.
Personally the most overrated game this generation. I was at first excited because I love the Metal Gear Solid series, but when I saw gameplay I knew immediately this was not my kind of game. But hey, I respect those who like it and found enjoyment in this game.
Metro Exodus is one of those games I hope to get around to play. I've read and love the books, but I keep postponing the Metro games, hopefully one day.
Days Gone is definitely in my top 10.
At first I was bored with the game, but after 10-20 hours I started to be really engaged in the story and I'd more fun with the game. Days Gone is a great swimmin' in 7!
A series I'd like to get invested in, but never find the time to play all the games. Hopefully I'll get around it soon!
23rd?! Wow, I'm really shocked and it definitely deserves to be higher.
I'd really fun with Judgment and the main plot hit me on a huge level as I'd personal experience with it. Adding dub was a good attempt to attract new audience to the series, but personally I hope they stick with the old formula with the main Yakuza entries. Judgment was easily in my top 4.
However, it ended up in my honorable mention, why? Well, I don't feel like bringing it up as I take it very personally and it doesn't bring anything to the GOTY discussion. I love this franchise, but I'm really not a fan of the new approach the localization team are taking and I definitely fear the future of the upcoming Yakuza titles.

I can respect that. Kind of a shame since Iceborne is considered one my favorite games this year and it's not eligible.
May I ask why Iceborne is not eligible when Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna The Golden Country were eligible and made it to the list last year?

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is the most overrated game in the series. Horrible gameplay and boring mechanics, it doesn't deserve to be in top 100.
My top 8 is:
#1: Telltale's The Walking Dead: Season One
#2: Dishonored
#3: Dragon's Dogma
#4: Mass Effect 3
Honorable mentions: Journey, Far Cry 3, Diablo III, Borderlands 2
Persona 4 Golden was my first number one pick. I totally forgot about Binary Domain and Gravity Rush, they would easily make it in my top 8. I should start double checking before voting.
I love the thread name!
More details of how the combat will be in the upcoming Yakuza game.
Yakuza 7 announced, coming out January 16th 2020 in Japan and it's being turn based this time around.
So the april fools joke became reality, I love it!
"Yakuza 7 titled Yakuza: Like a Dragon in the west"
In recent memory, The Last Guardian. I got fed up with the gameplay and how bad the game controlled so at one point I gave up and never touched it again.
