I generally like the films of Jim Jarmusch and I thought that "Paterson" and "Only Lovers Left Alive" were enjoyable. I have zero interest in zombie-comedies though. Still worth checking out? Is the writing that bland?

RE: What do you think of your PS4 library so far?
If we are talking about exclusives only, the only Sony exclusive that I think I have is Bloodborne, which is one of my favorites. The only other available exclusive I have hardly any interest in is Shadow of the Colossus, which I might pick up at some point. I am also highly anticipating Death Stranding.
Looking over my entire PlayStation library however, I think highly of many titles. In fact, this might be one of my favorite gaming generations. Not only were there many strong new IP's like Hollow Knight, Enter the Gungeon, Rain World, Darkest Dungeon, and Sekiro, but also strong additions to continuing series such as Dark Souls III (strongest in the trilogy), MGSV, RE2 Remake, Doom, and Hotline Miami 2. Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy was fantastic and hit all the right notes. Although they had some issues for me, I thought Resident Evil 7 and Little Nightmares offered interesting, unique experiences that I will remember. And for older releases, there is a huge catalog. I can play Resident Evil Remake and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night on the same machine. I've discovered old releases I have never heard of before like Prehistoric Isle 2 and The Ninja Warriors.
Having no other current-gen consoles and a PC that is not built for gaming, my PlayStation 4 has kept me very happy.

RE: Last movie you watched
I've been trying to catch more Japanese live-action movies. One recent one that I have seen that I really liked was "Radiance" (dir. Naomi Kawase). I thought that the performances in that one were very good.

RE: New and Upcoming Indie Game Releases
Has anybody played "Shakedown: Hawaii" yet? I am curious to hear some thoughts on it.
My initial thoughts so far on "Darkwood" (for PS4): avoid until this gets a patch. I've been playing this for a few hours today and the frame rate gets worse as the game goes on, bordering on unplayable. The game also freezes for about a second or so during certain intervals (such as entering new areas). I also tried to exit my game and the game froze on me. I'm playing on base PS4.
UPDATE (5/23): Darkwood's issues have been patched. It runs pretty good now.

RE: Oddworld: Soulstorm (TBA)
I was very disappointed with "Oddworld: New N' Tasty". It didn't have an ounce of the atmosphere that the original game had. I am hoping that they can improve with this one.

RE: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night (Switch/PS4/XBO/PC)
I'm very interested to see how this turns out. I like the overall style and I am glad they are making many improvements. My biggest concerns though, which have been concerns since the beginning, are enemy death-animations and overlong text-dialogue segments.

RE: New and Upcoming Indie Game Releases
@sabotagethetruth Very nice!
Talking about console ports, "Darkwood" is also getting a PS4 release, coming out May 14th.
Also coming out for Xbox One on May 17th and Nintendo Switch sometime in May (Wiki says May 16th but I haven't found an official release date video)

RE: How Long is too Long? (are we still doing phrasing?)
It depends on the game I think. The games that have lasted me the longest this generation (on a single play-through) have been the From Software games and Metal Gear Solid V, and I really enjoyed my time with those. The only times where length became an issue for me this gen was with "Minit" and "Little Nightmares", both of which I wanted to last longer than they did. Both of those games had interesting worlds to explore and I wanted more things to do in those worlds.

RE: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
Tarantino had given a talk about his research about cinema in the 70's, and I believe some of the points he made are probably the driving elements behind "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood". I think a central theme of the film will be the fall of "Old Hollywood" and the emergence of "New Hollywood".
