Any aquarists at this board? :)

Finally a drawing I later on printed on canvas as a gift for my wife
Old gaffer here too, I've been using GAF for news and discussions for more than 10 years, maybe 15, and I honestly have no clue how to find something similar anywhere else. There was a forum forming the other day called geonaf which quickly got up to 1000 new members over like a day, thought that would be the new GAF, lots of old members were there, but it's gone too now. No idea what happened. I heard something about a hack job. I don't get why people don't want GAF in any form back, it was the owner who was bad, some members too obviously, but most of us was just genuinely interested in gaming.
@sabotagethetruth Wow that’s embarrassing... This is the way things are, if you do something that becomes hugely popular then obviously others want to eat from that cookie as well, happens in all industries. Just man up and keep improving the game so it’s always the best and the clones are just bad clones. Suing is such a low blow. And they likely won’t win that case either, and if they do they’ll just damage their reputation. It’s a lose-lose scenario.
@Yautja_Warrior. Yup, everything is really great except the lack of single player offline content. I'd say that the core gameplay is so great that they basically just needs to add a career mode and more cars and they can sell the same game as GT7. I'd buy it day one.
But as it stands there is very little to do for someone like me who isn't subscribing to PS+. As a long time fan it was definitely difficult to see all the facts get unveiled, I skipped GT6 since it came after PS4 so I've waited a long time for a new GT and when it finally comes it's not made for me. :(
@DMCMaster. Totally, GT6 Enhanced two years in after the PS4 launch would've been perfect! :)
I fully expect that Polyphony will deliver on the DLC promise and hopefully remove the online restrictions at a later date though. They can always make the single player content isolated from the online content to not interfer with the FIA license which I believe is the reason they made it always online. It's definitely not unfixable. And if they deliver then I hope the review sites revisit the game since it's very clear that the scores dropped because of the online focus which not everyone wanted.
@ZombieProof Thanks man!
I wish I could do those stylistic arts you're doing, I think most of my drawings with original non-photorealistic art are technically quite okay but I'm really struggling to make them interesting, that's my biggest problem right now.
Here's my most stylistic drawing to date, inspired by a terrance_unchained on Instagram who's doing lots of cool edge lighting.
Hopefully not, I love open-world games, Skyrim, Breath of the Wild, No Man's Sky, Ori and the Blind Forest, Minecraft, Horizon Zero Dawn, Forza Horizon 3, are among my top favorite games of all time. I'd be devastated if the next Elder Scrolls had an online focus, I've already lost one favorite in GTS to that annoying trend. I'm a single player offline gamer and I really wish devs would let me stay that way. I don't care if the game has an online mode, it doesn't bother me at all. Just don't force me into that world.
@Acquiescence Yeah the bans has been strange for a long time, some obviously deserved it but what you describe doesn't seem like a valid reason.
Now that my account is ended I can speak freely.
I got my first ban when openly doubting the Kinect success after my first play test. I wasn't rude or anything, I simply thought the reports after the launch would be about how it didn't work properly (which it didn't for me) rather than how awesome it was.
Apparently that was a too unpopular opinion at the time.
My second ban was the strangest one, by Evilore himself ironically. I made a thread where I asked if I should buy the PS3 or 360 version of Skyrim. Pretty soon the thread were filled with PC talk and I eventually asked people to talk about PC elsewhere since I didn't have a PC at that time. Evilore stept into the discussion and thought it was okay for the thread I had made to go off-topic...
But that didn't help me one bit so I edited the OP and asked PC people to take the PC talk in a PC thread instead.
"You don't make the rules of a thread just because you started it."
First board I've ever been to where the thread creator can't decide what the talk in the thread should be about.
As usual every ban ends with other users on the mods side mocking the banned members and applauding the harsh mod style. Disgusting attitude.
Nice thread! Art is one of my biggest passions in life :)
Everything is drawn on an iPad Pro using the Apple Pencil and the app Procreate. I used to draw a lot on paper when I was younger but I make so many faults and never get fully happy so most drawings got damaged from using the eraser too much lol
Anyway here are some examples of my art, I have some other stuff on my Instagram gallery (@jaggafredde) as well but I mostly draw women, maybe some games too, and fishes, and guitars, but mostly women.
Lets see how this goes, is Imgur for image posts okay here?
First one is a playful drawing of an Instagram girl checking her phone after posting body goal pics. Drawing process included.
A try to do photo realism, drawing process included, there is always stuff that could be improved but this is probably my max level right now, it took a crazy long time to do this one

The Last Ninja - C64
This is so much nostalgia for me! Easily the game I've played through the most times, it's not like it's the best game ever but the music is heaven for my ears and it only takes about 45 minutes to play through it so I'd advice anyone who hasn't played it yet to try it and look at a walkthrough if you get stuck just to understand what's the deal with this game get a sense on how perfect the music is. It's quite amazing that these tunes comes from hardware from 1982. Musician - Ben Daglish and Anthony Lees.
Last Ninja 2 - C64
The sequel is great too, same gameplay and great music again even though it's another musician - Matt Gray.
Turrican - Amiga
Chris Hülsbeck shows why he's one of the best musicians in gaming. Just click the link and sit back and enjoy.
Turrican 2 - Amiga
Chris Hülsbeck again, delivering what possibly is the best video game soundtrack ever. The game is amazing too so if you haven't played it yet, do the listening while playing through the game. Enjoy! :)
@jipostus Heh yeah if I'm any type of fanboy then it's a Commodore fanboy ;) This is what I grew up with, I got my first console awhile after SNES had launched. My whole childhood was about playing Last Ninja, Giana Sisters, IO, Rallyspeedway, Kickstart 2, Krakout, Turrican, Xenon 2, Battle Squadron, Z-Out, Rick Dangerous, Dungeon Master, Cadaver, Airborne Ranger, Simon the Sorcerer, Monkey Island, Gods, Another World, Elvira, etc etc I can go on forever :)
I actually haven't heard either of those, will do now though, thanks for the tip!
Remixes are cool when they're well done with a unique twist but I think they're kind of meaningless if they stay too close to the originals since I love the originals so much. But a band called Machinae Supremacy made a serie of metal C64 medleys named Sidology that got me crying happy tears before everything had ended. I play the guitar myself so hearing someone nail some classic phrases from Commando and Out Run etc was just too much for this old man .
@jipostus Oh I'm so sending that Turrican remix to my guitar buddies who also grew up with Commodores! That was awesome! :D
The orchestral soundtrack you linked to, listened to The Great Bath, one of my favorites from the game, it sounded really smooth and beautiful in that version, like it was always meant to sound like that. Some other songs didn't feel right though, for me at least, I'm too used to hear that tight synth sound.
@sheria Same here!
The problem with tough moderation is that it's often the politically correct views that are left in the end, which in my opinion becomes a false version of how the real world looks (at least where I live) and in the end it'll just be a weird virtual bubble with people who share roughly the same ideals or simply avoids speaking their minds in fear of being banned.
I've been roaming the net for a place to stay after the downfall of GAF (which had serious issues as well) but I haven't found a place yet where people just talk normally and where the mods take a step back until things heat up way too much. Sadly I'm not sure that place exist to be honest. I'm not even a rude person but no matter where I stay there is always someone who suddenly gets offended by the tiniest things they decide to blow out of proportion or willfully misinterpret just to start an unnecessary argument. And everytime I get a warning or a temporary ban I just end up locking down yet another part of my true self deep down where it's hidden for the digital world, and as the time goes the real me is slowly opressed and evolved into the same boring politically correct alter ego as everybody else that aren't permanently banned, and in the end I could probably be labelled to have schizofrenia by a shrink. :P
@ff7cloud Don’t put it down! Are you playing on survival mode? It really shouldn’t be that hard if you play on normal mode unless you’re super unlucky with the initial planet spawn. Go normal and give it some time and you might end up loving it, trust me :)
Feels like I have to defend it a bit here, you see I’ve been playing it for roughly 300 hours, no exaggeration, and it’s one of my favorite games right now, my kids love it too, it’s really special, once you get hooked and start to farm stuff it’ll swallow your free time like nothing else, and the never ending quest to find the perfect home planet obviously never ends. :) The support from the devs has been insanely good too, several huge free updates that has slowly made the game 10 times better than at the launch. The ARG was super fun as well, and I ended up getting a physical V4 Atlas Pass woohoo! :D
