Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time
UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves
This game is rather insulting to those who've been playing games for more than 2 years. It heavily limits you're participation with over-scripting. The first several hours of the game was almost strictly cinematic walking and being told exactly what to do. Even when the game let's you do any thing it's rather mediocre. Enemies are bullet sponges and have almost no variety among them and you have to take them out with a rather small variety of weapons. Shoot outs ended up being slow and tedious and they broke this up with even slower and more tedious cinematic on rails climbing. Just press that one direction you can go in and wait for that cinematic sequence where something breaks under Drake's weight every single time to prolong an already pointless section. Don't even get me started on that gameplay dead ice cave with Tenzen chapter where you watch an npc do everything before you do it. The story and ending were less than mediocre to boot.
I think Sony released a superior game in that same year with Infamous. It also opts for third person cover shooter gameplay with climbing mechanics. The difference is that there is more interesting enemy variety, super interesting powers and the climbing gave you really cool ways to use the open world to approach combat situations in strategic ways. It had a far more satisfying story conclusion to boot as well as two ways to play the campaign.
