Hello - I also neglected to post here when I joined. :\
I started watching GT thanks to my then boyfriend, now husband. I loved ManUp and the Fact or Fiction series. I have been a silent lurker but avid watcher of EZA. When GT shut down I was super bummed but was SO happy when EZA was announced. I think EZA was the reason I signed up for Patreon.

@outtay I remember the first time I was truly hurt by the Allies -- they were discussing Skyrim and they said something like "anyone who is still playing Skyrim isn't part of our audience". I, as a person who loves and still plays Skyrim, started tearing up a little because it was just so ... brutal. I got upset and vented to my husband (bless his heart) and then I felt better.
All this to say --- we all have our buttons, and "L&R" acknowledges that fact. Negativity and snarkiness can live within L&R because it's a balanced deal. In that same stream, I think Kyle belly laughed and had this glowing goofy-ass smile because he was joyful about a licensed game. I'm sorry that you're feeling let down by Kyle and Damiani's comments, and perhaps (like with me) your disappointment is a direct correlation of how much you like these guys.

@HeyItsThatChris is totally right about the Bay Area, specifically about peeps that work in the City (San Francisco). I am not about to wait an half an hour on top of hoofing it down into the city for a chicken sandwich at The Bird when I can get a perfectly good one down the street at Chik-Fil-A.
They recently opened one in Novato (a commuter town in Marin) and my husband and I are overjoyed!
Also, I cannot lie, I do enjoy Olive Garden's salad and breadsticks. As a SoCal native, though, I will endure epic lines for some In-N-Out though. Also, El Pollo Loco.
As an aside, one of the things that most surprised me about Berkeley when I first moved up here was the lack of chain restaurants. It was weird to long for an Olive Garden (nearest one in the city) when I had the Cheese Board pizza so nearby.
@jesse-abraham So I've been playing Civ VI like a crazy person and just got Rise & Fall over the weekend. Personally, I really enjoy the addition of leaders and of governors. As @Sazime explained, we were both kinda surprised that the expansion cost extra, but for the amount of time I've already sunk into the game I'm okay with paying that extra. I'm sorry that your Civ experience has been soured. Maybe take a Civ break? Come back to it later with some fresh eyes?

@sabotagethetruth I second this observation and would definitely urge everyone to listen to the most perfect piece of Kyle product premiered within the latest steam -- "Robot Party."
I commute into San Francisco everyday, and whenever I'm wearing some EZA gear I look to see if anyone will show a glimmer of recognition. It's only happened once, but it was so magical! I was at a Starbucks getting some coffee and a lady knocked on the window, pointed to my shirt with excitement, and then gave me the thumbs up. It was awesome!
Anyhow, I'm interested in any other jolly stories of spotting fellow Allies while out in the world.
