Name – Allen aka LaserCat
Located – Soon to be Torrance CA, moving out from family house (currently Redondo Beach, CA)
For a living I – Currently I work near LAX airport at a cargo warehouse working the front desk. I rather just play video games all day long but ya...gotta make money for rent.
Non-gaming Hobby(ies) – Gaming takes up pretty much all my time, but when I’m not gaming I would prefer to focus on working out and getting is shape (mostly to pull off a decent cosplay) but haven’t buckled down on the fitness yet. Going to go all out after my move.
Gaming Historical facts – (going to try to keep this short because I could go on for hours about this) I’ve been gaming for as long as I can remember (ever since I played my SNES back in 1989), I would definitely classify myself as a “Huber Archetype” kind of Gamer, I get so hyped for new games especially games that tell epic tales of revenge and redemption! For me there is no better way to tell a story than through a video game.
Firm believer that – Video Games are an Art Form, we are truly living in a magical age right now. Video games are becoming the best they have ever been and can express SO much now. And with VR around the corner am so excited to see what’s next!
Champion of – Being the Jack of traits when it comes to video games, I have the special skill of being able to adapt to any kind of gaming console. PC, PS1234, DS, PSP, XBOXs, Old school, etc. As long as the game is interesting to me I don’t care what console it’s on…I’ll Play It! Also I’m a Huge Fan of Catgirls ;3

Username Origin- Back when Halo 3 was coming out my best friend would always go by the Username of “Darksim007” because he was a big Perfect Dark/Bond Fan. I mostly went by a lot of names like Leilong, and Akiba but he didn’t really like calling me those names because he hated anime. But then IGN showed a trailer for the Spartan Laser in Halo 3 and I lost my shit! I must have watched the trailer like 30 times, so much so that my friend decided to call me “LaserCat006” for now on because at the beginning of the trailer there was an image of a cat saying “LaserCat demands More Lasers!” and the 006 was from goldeneye after Bond’s best friend.
Top Games- There are SOOO many but the ones that come to mind are the God of War series, ICO/Nico, Batman Arkham City, Ace Attorney Series, Metal Gear Solid series, DOOM, 999 and Onimusha 1
Most Hyped For- New God of War, VR, Last Guardian, New Kojima Game and Horizon Zero Dawn

What's Your Most Memorable Boss Fight Allies?
I know picking the Best Boss fight you've ever had can be hard Allies so i would love to know which Boss Fight most stuck with you for whatever reason. The Boss fight doesn't have to be Perfect or even that great, hell it can even be one of the First Bosses in a game if you want. All it has to do was just stick with you for some reason.
For me the first one that comes to mind is the Sisters of Fate Boss Battle in God of War 2.
Man...This Fight was insane, throughout the whole game these sisters have just been F*&king with you the entire time so by the time i got to this fight i was ready to take them down. but up until this point you have not seen the other 2 sisters, just the one super beautiful bitchy one. Plus they have built themselves up to be invisible because they can CONTROL FATE! So you are literally Fighting FATE!!! So much Hype in this Fight.
Just the First Sister Battle ALONE could have been enough! just Her alone is so amazing. She does all kinds of attacks on you and there is even a Ganon fireball hit back and forth system which just raises the Epicness so much! But then the second sister comes out and she takes you back to the final boss fight of GoW1! After you beat the second sister then you have to fight both sisters at once!!! ending in one of the most epic FU kind of finisher moments when you trap both sisters in time. So amazing and ill never forget it....not to mention when you see the last sister...that will stick with you Forever!
What was the Last Game that made you Cry Allies?
I’m not afraid to admit it that an amazing game could make you cry! And neither should you!
I know a lot of people like to give this game crap but for me Heavy Rain really got to me. I really grew attached to Ethan and his quest to find and save his Son Shaun (I’m a big family kind of guy btw). So much so that every trial that Ethan faced I really put myself in his shoes and I really felt his pain of just trying to do the right thing. Then Ethan’s last trial comes up and you have to drink poison that will kill you but will give you enough time to save your son, I remember standing in that last trial room for at least a good 15 mins…is it really worth saving my son if I’m just going to die? And yes I started to choke up a bit. I choose to not take the poison because I didn’t want to die…I wanted to save my son alive! Thankfully after the trial I was able to figure out how to get to where my son was and man…the feeling I got when I finally got my son out of the water, after going through all that pain of those trials…I finally had my son back in my arms. I cried like a baby.

@marcel Dood! I still Remember When i First saw Sephiroth Use Super Nova as a kid i thought the game was over! I mean he Destroyed the entire solar system for crying out load! I was actually surprised that my team lived through it. (actually only Cloud was left standing)
RE: The difference between EZA & "Cynical games media"
I love EZA because like others have said they explore and represent the joy of video games.
They get that the surprise announcement of games Resi 7 can get people jumping out of their seats. That playing a beloved game thats 20 years old for the first time can be a rewarding experience. That hype while a tool for selling products can be a fun thing to engage in. Crucially though they can also be critical of games when it is called for. That's why I love the reviews both here and on GT back in the day.
Cynicism is something that plagues all things, particularly on the internet. So many people have forgotten that you can enjoy a thing while still being critical of it.
Well Said! Watching EZA is always such a breath of fresh air for me. I come from a life of people always telling me that games are a waste of time/not a big deal. But the GT crew knows my passion and I will follow them anywhere!!! ;)
RE: Moving out for the first time…and scared of the idea of No More Gaming
Thank you so much for all the great tips Allies, i feel a little more at ease now but man this is all giving me flash backs to when i was still in high school, My father would always say to me, "Your going to have to stop playing video games one day" And that would always scare the hell out of me because I have such a huge passion for gaming...sigh, but I guess setting time for a "Game Night" a couple times a week will have to do...I just don't know what im going to do when Persona 5 comes out...(Nervous level rising)
