I just realized (and forgive me if its obvious) but Kyle and Huber betting is like watching pro wrestling where Huber is the face (good guy) and Kyle is the heel (bad guy). When Kyle does his "bet" bit, he plays up the heel role to perfection. The EZA meta is truly glorious to behold.

RE: What's Your Most Memorable Boss Fight Allies?
I don't know if it's my most memorable, but my first victory over the Nameless King in DS3 was SO good. He was kicking my ass for what seemed like forever, then FINALLY, I beat him without getting hit once. It was that classic "Dark Souls Moment" where everything you learned just clicks together. Awesome and one of the reasons why I love the Souls games.
RE: Photoshop Allies Thread
Here's some new ones. Couldn't figure out what to put in the triangle underneath Kyle. Any suggestions?
*I love it when Jones brings the fire!
EDIT: Here's Tingle Kyle someone from chat asked for during Dumb Game Monday. WARNING: NSF...anything really.
The Dragon of Dojima Will Rise - Yakuza 0
The more I see this game the more I want to play it. Listening to Huber talk about it is making the HYPE just that much more intense. There's definitely some nostalgia to it as well. I spent a few years in Japan (even saw some yakuza; some are NOT discrete about it) and the ability to go back, at least in virtual form, is such a trip. Can't wait to walk the streets of Shinjuku again...

RE: What is your favorite game and why?
Currently, I think Mass Effect as a series is my favorite game. I love sci-fi and the first ME signaled the potential of what a more grounded sci-fi RPG could be. There were other sci-fi like RPGs before it, but Mass Effect just had the style and the feel that I loved. ME2 brought that potential to the next level. It might not have been a traditional RPG, but the characters, renegade+paragon prompts, and the world building in that game was just so amazing to me at the time. And ME3, despite the all the ending stuff, brought this epic journey to a definitive conclusion. And the Citadel DLC... all the feels. I know ME has its faults, but it just pushes all the right buttons for me that it's flaws are very easy to ignore and I can dive into that universe and stay in it forever.
Renegade for life (not really, but c'mon, I had to say it)

"NOOOOOOOOOO!!" - Brad
"What in the fuck even is this?" - Ben
"HAHAHAHAHA!" - Bosman
I just laughed out loud at work and everyone is giving me a funny look. Totally worth it!

I posted this in chat yesterday, but I think it's appropriate:

RE: What was the Last Game that made you Cry Allies?
It was awhile go but there's a scene in Grandia...
Spoiler: Justin has to set forth into the world and says a heartfelt good-bye to his mother...
And in Lunar Eternal Blue...
Spoiler: In the epilogue segment, just before you set off to reunite with Lucia, all your friends say good-bye to you...
RE: What games are you holding off playing?
@SIX2SE7EN @Hoken @pphair I was putting this off too. Got the whole series on GOG during the summer sale. It took some time but it's definitely grown on me (40 hours in now). I would suggest turning on "alternate movement" (introduced in patch 1.07?) and getting the autoloot mod (if you're PC). Alternate movement makes moving indoors a lot better and autoloot makes gathering items less of a hassle (allows you to skip a step when looting). I also downloaded a "Dark Souls" control config just for kicks.
I put off the Last of Us as well. I was FINALLY going to get it for PS4 but then they announced NEO and well... yeah.
