    • RE: What are you doing with your Xbox One?

@ZyloWolfBane I think you're definitely right in predicting that the Scorpio will not be as powerful as the a higher end 4k gaming PC. That will never happen. However all I was trying to state was that typically when you build a PC that's the same price as a console, the PC will be weaker then that console, because the games are better optimised on consoles to use that specific hardware. That means that you end up paying double, triple or more when building a high end gaming PC.

Having said that, when the Scorpio and probably the Neo get released, they'll offer a cheaper alternative towards entering 4K gaming, which ties back in to my original point that the Xbox will still be able to make a case for its self on the market.

@Faaip I really enjoyed First 15 as well, but you're right when saying it was tied to having that massive GT library. I feel like Kyle's "Dumb Game Monday" streams help fill that void though.

While I miss Kyle's show not being an official part of the Easy Allies, I think it makes more sense considering his style. I remember him once saying that he doesn't like putting out an episode if he think's its like a "C-", and would rather do a "First 15" instead until he had something better to say.

Since these episodes are now on his own channel, he can do them at his own speed whenever he feels he has something to say, and if he doesn't then he isn't forced to produce an episode. While I loved most episodes of Final Bosman, I think that this style will lead to a higher consistent level of good quality moving forward, and I'm excited to see what comes next.

    • RE: Classic games that you hate?

I've recently been digging into Rare Replay on Xbox One, and the latest game I've been playing is Banjo Kazooie. I've heard such great things about it ever since the N64 days, and was very excited to finally get to play it.

Unfortunately, I haven't been enjoying the game very much. I wouldn't say I'm hating the game by any means, but I'm realising that "collectathon platformers" are not really my thing. I much prefer the idea of just being presented with individual levels or challenges to tackle one at a time, then running around trying to collect a bunch of nick nacks in order to progress.

This is why I really liked the Super Mario Galaxy series. Even though you're also collecting Stars to progress, the stars tend to be given to you as a reward for completing a specific level or challenge, rather then scattered randomly throughout a world.

Chalk it up to preference, but unfortunately Banjo Kazooie just doesn't seem to be my cup of tea.

    • RE: What are you doing with your Xbox One?

I actually got an Xbox One as my primary console last year because it has more exclusives I was interested in, and I preferred the controller and interface. I never owned an Xbox 360 either, so I've been making great use of backwards compatibility. While I recently got a PS4 on sale as well, I still find myself using my Xbox One more often.

I can certainly understand the reservations towards getting one if you have a gaming PC however. Aside from the odd past exclusive which may inevitably end up on PC down the road anyways, there's little reason. If you don't have a gaming PC though, I think there's still a strong case to be made for the Xbox One based on its price point. A brand new Xbox these days probably costs around half what it would cost to build an equivalently powered gaming PC, so its still the best option if you're on a budget.

Then in the future, although I'm just speculating, the Scorpio will also probably be priced far cheaper then an equivalently powered 4K gaming PC, so again the Xbox makes a good case for its self.
