@Black-Cell That's almost exactly how I feel about Madden.

Will you be buying Rise of the Tomb Raider for PS4?
I know I will. I've been coveting it ever since the reviews it got when it released for XB1. How about the rest of you? I expect to see it perform much better this time, just because Lara is such a PlayStation icon. I don't think its lackluster initial sales were due to competition from Fallout 4 and others, I think it's because XBox gamers just don't have much of a connection to Tomb Raider. What do you think?

RE: So, apparently there *is* a way to change your PSN ID...
My PSN name is FatDave2112. At the time, I largely went by Fat Dave online, but then I lost over 100 pounds. Fortunately I'm steadily gaining it back, so it works for me again. And I never stopped liking Rush.:-)

RE: Which Pokémon GO! team did you join?
Valor, but it was kind of a no-brainer for me. My kids chose Valor before I hit level 5, and turned out a couple of my other friends were Valorites, so... OK. Done.

@Mortambulist Believe it or not, most people are not good at their jobs. Especially in programming/development.
Oh, I believe it. I live it every day. I mean, not that I'm that great, I'm lazy as fuck, but when I do do my I job, I take some pride in it. ;-)

RE: All western protagonists look the same?
And most of them sound like they've been gargling hot gravel.

RE: So, apparently there *is* a way to change your PSN ID...
@suplextrain It's actually pretty simple. Just don't make the name the primary key (the value by which everything is linked and indexed). Put a unique constraint on the name so no two people can have the same name, but make the actual primary key some randomly generated unique ID (GUID's are great for this) that is never displayed, never changes, and serves to keep everything linked. Then the user name/ID is just another piece of data that can be changed at will. Whoever designed PSN's data structure should be taken out and shot for using the username as the primary key. It's a seriously amateur mistake.

This is interesting to me because for the longest time I thought Sony just didn't care, but apparently it's because they don't have a system that is capable of handling name changes.
They basically made one of the most amateur programming mistakes possible when they built PSN.

RE: The Kerbal Space Program PS4 port is pretty rough.
@StuffOnARock Don't get me wrong, it's still a super-fun game for anybody who likes deep simulations and/or science (particularly physics). I've gotten entirely used to the interface, and judging by the youtube videos I've watched the graphics and audio glitches are largely carried over from the PC version. The crashes are still annoying but mostly crop up at the same point, so I've learned to quicksave right before that. Given the amount of fun this is providing (and seems like it will for quite a long time) the $40 asking price is reasonable. I'd call it 4 out of 5, but I'm a huge nerd for this kind of stuff.

RE: What are your most anticipated games for rest of 2016 and 2017?
No Man's Sky. I really hope review copies go out early because as hopeful as I am, I wouldn't mind a little reassurance at this point.
Horizon Zero Dawn. I mean come ON!
The remaining Fallout 4 DLC. I burned out on the main game for a few months, but Far Harbor pulled me back in recently. Now I could go for some more.
I might try I Am Setsuna, but as much as I enjoy JRPG's, I'm terrible about finishing them. Same goes for Persona 5. I really want to play it, but so worried it'll end up just another unfinished story in my collection.
The Last Guardian, dependent on reviews.
There's a good chance I'll jump into PlayStation VR. If I do I'll stock up on Dramamine just in case.
That's all I can think of off the top of my head.
