    • RE: Indie Game Discoveries & Recommendations

These are my recommendations that I recommend for anyone; true classics, living legends! SOLID. These are not hidden gems but games that you should really give it a try cos you are missing out on the sweet side of life, mon ami.

      • Undertale - the ultimate game that Bosman should play but never will; a game full of context and immersion

One of those games that grabs you by the balls right from the beginning and you just gotta keep playing to see what the next ridiculous event unfolds to you.. Nonstop flow of curveballs and always being one step ahead of player's expectations. The vibes, the world, the dialogue, the character progressions, they are ALL there. Good stuff. Goddamn PC hating Kyle.

      • Braid - 2D platforming puzzle game that mends your soul and brains

Lots of good feels in this game. The pure essence of "aha"-inspiration is present in this, iced with soothing artstyle. 5 cozy fireplaces on a rainy day out of 5.

      • The Stanley Parable - The best "walking" simulator game that simulates Stanley

Give it a shake, theres the demo version out there you know?

I'll probably post some actual discoveries later on (instead of giving out titles that the peeps here SURELY already know about), feeling too dopey at the moment, most probably the side effect from sperging too much about stupid good games on totally rad forums :camel:

    • RE: Tabletop Escapades - Official Discussion Thread [Spoilers]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSq4MhBkgzA <---- OST of Episode 29 (second act)

great 'sode all around, tho what happened to all em sailors in the end? Shouldn't Pomper feel the burden of not actually rescuing them from the Mirrormaze, or is Pomper having some kind of Law syndrome?

...Who am I kidding? The main reason why im in love with Tabletop Escapades(/Adventures) is the true chaotic nature of adventurers; constantly forgetting the bigger picture and focusing on the smallest of details possible.... Just charging HEAD ON into the new settings and making Ben's plans for "real DnD" to fall apart with ridiculous consequences :full_moon_with_face: BEST IN THE BIZ, hands down

GODDESS OF FORTUNE SMILES UPON TO THE BRAVE ONES #Pray4Nat20 #WhereIsTheDamnBaron

I wish Kyle would take a look at this, especially now that we are getting into final adjustments soon enough

I think I already said it once already in this thread BUT, if brandon decides to pick up gen 2 Johto after playing the newest gen ---> Gold/Silver > HeartGold/SoulSilver

    • RE: Games you feel compelled to go back and replay?

I'd like to say about all my NES library games (Castlevania, Ninja Gaiden, Super Mario Bros, Little Nemo Dream Master, Kung Fu etc etc)
BUT then again those kind of games you need play them on one sitting all the way through and they are only few hours long anyways.

So I reckon this thread was more about actually finishing some very lenghty game once a year and I cannot think of one from top of my head; Theres so much media out there to be consumed about and only so little time for mere carbon based lifeform like me.

AINT EVERYBODY GOT TIME TO KEEP BEATING ALREADY BEATEN GAMES :horse_racing:

    • RE: SGDQ 2016 HYPE

SGDQ is already running and there is not one million circlejerking posts in here? GEEZ, why aint all of ya JAZZED already? These runs are pretty magical yo!

Personally for me Games Done Quick always have been a comfy week long nonstop comfy warm fireplace that you just leave on your second screen running; these runs nourish my soul and mend my eyeballs.

Just listening to the casting itself about all these speedrun strats and glitches and downright cheats are ASMR to my ears. The assurity that I can fall asleep while watching and wake up to see that there is someone killing those frames makes me filled with determination.

Hope that we will see some world records this year! HYPE IT UP

Also I am still waiting to hear Bloodworth/Ben/Huber/Brad to donate some to the stream and slip a slight shoutout in there :bee:

    • RE: What is your favorite old school Sierra game?

      GOBLIIINS.

TALK ABOUT A TRUE HIDDEN GEM..!

      alt text

gobliins is a really comfy point & click with screen by screen puzzles. The solutions and objectives keep you cracking up on how absurd they are and how your expectations to solve a simple puzzle are continuously being crushed...but when you finally manage start get use to the nonstop curveballs and you actually manage to predict how the puzzle plays out before trying every other solution, the satisfaction becomes reality.

Oh and the other thing with this game is that you actually have a healthbar and you get damaged if you try to force thro every possible solution and scenario - HIGH STAKES BABY

I think the orginal game was ported for iOS/android devices so I recommend peeps to check it out. Gobliiins is a game for the ones who are looking to play some point and click adventure that is not hard lore and dialogue driven game, but just a well crafted JOLLY game that keeps you smiling FOR DAYS.

...Gobliins is a sierra game, right? at least published by em I reckon? :crocodile:
