Yeah I've personally thought of it like a ps2 action platformer, so 8-12ish hours would be perfect, with maybe some collectable/ng+ type stuff as well.
But I am curious about the layout I could see it being a little hubbish with a main village or something. (like jak and daxter.)
Gonna keep a in progress list here.
DRAGON AGE:INQUISITION
(25 hours) similar to fallout 4 was a little let down at launch but returning to it I really like what it does have to offer interesting to see by hour 100 how I will feel.
(made a questional decision and rebought it on pc with all the dlc haha replaying those 15 hours now.)
Spiderman MILES MORALES.
last mission left) weird I enjoy this game but it hasn't really got its hooks in me at all will beat it at some point
CYBERPUNK 2077
(50HOURS) honestly like it quite a bit but because of the bugs mostly did side content will return and polish off the story at some point.
GOD OF WAR(PS5 NG+ RUN)
(5 hours) great game just getting in a replay for before 2
RATCHET AND CLANK GOING COMANDO
(EARLY) beat some last year wanna Finnish off the rest before rift apart (all replays)
RATCHET AND CLANK PS4
(2 HOURS) getting in a replay before rift apart with that 60fps.
DISCO ELYSIUM
(6HOURS) finally starting this with final cut great so far front of que
dragons dogma
(5 hours) why did i start this again haha.
LOOP HERO
(25 hours) great but really starting to burn out on the final level i don't seem to be making much progress and the upgrades have really slowed down
Ghost of tushima
Persona 5 royal
-resident evil 2 (remake) 8/10
good fun as not a horror fan might do the b run but short on time.
So the kinda expected 1-2 punch but.
Arkham- enjoy this game quite a bit but arkham City was the one that really got me, think I've only ever played it the one time around launch though I do have it on pc now... Thanks epic
Uncharted 2- honestly I've always had issues with the gameplay of the modern naughty dog games and while I did enjoy U2 the most out of the uncharted games it didn't quite make the cut, for that reason I enjoy the last of us more because I think the heaver stealth focus lessens some of my gameplay problems(the last of us 2 especially) also from memory this was the peak of "room with waist high walls" type design.
And yeah while uncharted was not a surprise win its interesting that arkham and dragon age had a similar amount of 1 and 2 votes, arkham just cleaned up on the lower places.
The point spread will be interesting to see since almost everyone who voted for dragon age gave it a 1st or 2nd place and I don't doubt that the next 2 are more popular.
I'm curious to see how the upcoming compare on first place votes though I imanigne uncharted 2 especially will be number 1 for many people.
Love origins honestly one of my favorite rpgs, the fantasy vane works for me so much better than something like mass effect, I've been wanting to revisit it for years.
It has some amazing characters like morrigan and Alistair and the story has some pretty significant weight being a pretty dark world.
I also like how the world itself feels quite unique with elves being treated like slaves , how magic is so dangerous and a curse to most.
Currently playing dragon age 3 since the mass effect trilogy has givin me that bioware itch and I never quite beat it at launch, as I felt kinda let down by it. In returning to it I'm really enjoying it more than I expect and it does alot right
Also great dragons.
Woo love ratchet and clank just played through the ps3 trilogy last year, I still really like crack in time but personally 2 and maybe even 3 top out the series for me they all kinda do different things the best.
Tools also does Some thing really well but the gameplay and better story of a crack in time top the ps3 trilogy for me.
love demons souls and considered it my fave of the series(having played it near launch) for a while and there are still a couple things i like over following games, the nexus as a hub, but the replay on ps5 really showed how weak the boss fights are compared to modern counterparts and it's also a surprisingly small game.
i still love it and the Ps5 version has basically fully replaced the 09 Game for like 98% of it, though you can make an argument for "Vibe" differences with some visual and music changes but even then i did my second playthrough of ps5 with the "classic" filter and it honestly works pretty well haha.
this would have easily been Number 1 if not for another(i assume upcoming) game being squarely in my all-time top 10 from this year.
likely the top of the franchise for me along with maybe world at war, never touched the online(no internet at the time) but played the campaign and did mutiplayer 1v1's with my brother alot.
Fallout 3-much of the main story haha.
Nier automata-the pretty boring openworld.
FF7R-that pacing (the chapters with side quest basically being hour long story pauses)
Dark souls-lost isilith is a pretty obvious one.
