RE: Final Fantasy XVI
@naltmank FF14 generally borrows from multiple FF games and incorporates major references to those previous games by twisting the material to fit FF14.
The FF3 reference comes about with the fact that there's a crystal tower raid, and you fight Xande and the cloud of darkness, the big bads of FF3.
They definitely name drop or incorporate lots of classic bosses throughout FF14 in general, but FF3 did receive a bit more attention than others.

RE: GT Twitch backup request.
Yeah the rapid closure of GT followed by the destruction of DEFY media and subsequent purchase of GT by IGN has made archival efforts to wrap up the old stuff quite hard :<
There were however several efforts to archive and backup many of GT's old content. I'm not sure how much of it has survived post IGN purchase, but it may still be out there

RE: EZA Community Showcase help. Calling on ALL community members. Kyle? No peeking.
Neat idea. Fortunately I don't think Kyle comes round these parts too often, (though he has made appearances in the past) he tends to mostly haunt the Patreon and comments sections of videos in hunt of those juicy corrections

RE: Looking for a DMing story
This premise reminds me of an early episode of Puffin Forest:
Having a quest giver betray the party is one way to partially motivate things, alternatively innocuous albeit important objects can be given more weight as time goes on with story telling and character observation and interactions

RE: Last movie you watched
@irongrey
This is true, personally if I could time travel and convince disney to do it, I would've loved to seen TLJ as a tv mini series rather than as a singular film just to give it that element of time.
Like Empire Strikes back has huge ellipses in time while Luke is training and while the Falcon is on the run, but it does manage to work, I just felt Finn and Rose's trip to cantobite in particular really warps the sense of time because you can falsely get a sense of it all happening in just the span of a day and a half.
Ironically RotS doesn't have issues with the ellipses because JJ crams in a countdown for drama and then makes the movie go at break neck speeds as everyone hurtles from one thing to the next

RE: Last movie you watched
Just saw starwars as well, it's messy, fast and loose but is pretty okay.
@irongrey said in Last movie you watched:
I didn't notice any pacing problem in The Last Jedi, and JJ Abrams has a history of messy stories and pacing.
@capnbobamous said in Last movie you watched:
I don't think Last Jedi has any pacing problems itself, but I think it left Rise of Skywalker in the unfortunate position of having to wrap up too much stuff.
TLJ I think is a very messy film pacing wise due to the fact that the party is split for most of the film, and because the passage of time is not well exlained or shown, which did a major disservice to the naval metaphor of the retreating fleet.
Don't get me wrong though I really liked TLJ, and I still kind of like it more than RotS, I never really felt really wowed by RotS in the ways I did with TLJ which I think really speaks to the stylistic differences between JJ and Rian Johnson

RE: LGBTQ Community insight
Acidtrip, no one is denying that that the the primary poles of gender exist. "Boyish" and "Girly" do indeed exist for reasons, but failing (or in your case refusing) to acknowledge that there's additional depth beyond the gender binary is not helpful and the video you posted was frankly offensive, and not remotely useful to the OP's dilemma.
Watch yourself.
