Just started in DL. Wanted to make a thread for us to make friends and communicate easily as opposed to adding a bunch of complete randos.
My friend code:
Post any advice you can!
@suplextrain Little Dragon Cafe really jumped out to me as a huge fan of Harvest Moon 64. I think it will be cool to have the same feel of Harvest Moon, but in the context of a cafe rather than a farm. Farming is fun, but it is fairly played-out at this point.
Here is a strawpoll listing what Blood spoke about in his GDC video. I'm working on an EZA companion video series and wanted to get some info from the community to plug into the videos.
You can vote on multiple items so mark whatever interested you. Below is the list of topics. Feel free to comment about the games themselves. I might be quoting some of the posts here.
Topics covered in GDC videos:
@Sheria I tend to agree that a game's generally don't age, but it is definitely not true that no games age. Perfect Dark is one of my favorite games of all time, but the frame rate is undeniably bad, though I never noticed it when it first came out. Mario 64 on the other hand seems somehow ageless. There are aspects that do feel old or barebones, for instance, the lack of detail in a level like the Invisible Cap level. These days there would be no such level. It would have all sorts of extra graphics in it. I would have to say it's the same principle as DOOM; the lack of frivolous detail allows your mind to freely imagine and immerse itself in the game.
Not sure if this is against rules somewhere I'm not seeing right now, but I'm streaming Factorio and wanted to let people know in case they are interested in this game.
If this isn't kosher, I guess let me know, but for anyone that wants to hang out and check out this game, the link is Twitch.tv/thedoomroom
Steep beta went live today. This thread is for talking about Steep and grouping up.
If this thread gets more than a few responses I'll add everyone's name to the OP so we know who all is on. I don't think a beta is worth forming an Official PSN community for at this time, but if someone does, let us know here.
I'm enjoying this game a lot so far. I think the ease with which you can bounce around the mountain doing almost whatever you want is great. There are a few very slight technical issues showing. My biggest issue with the game is that it seems it was designed with the awareness that the wing-suit would be the main draw. Snowboarding is what I really was interested it in the first place. We will see where the future takes this game though. Steep seems like a great opportunity in that they could release $30+ DLC that unlocks entirely new areas. It might be the Evan Williams talking, but I had a vision of a Sonic Adventure-style sand-boarding area.
My brain is just spinning after reading this. You don't have to like anything, and it doesn't seem as if you like it. But Code Geass is in no way whatsoever a Harem anime, and 25 episodes per season is so far from being "waaay too many episodes" that I'm wondering if you are accidentally watching the wrong anime.
