Soon, I add another! Love the series this much
my advice would be:
remember the rules are just there to facilitate the fun, not kill it, use them as part of the storytelling, part of the characters, dont get caught up on technicalities too much
"in-character" trumps "in the rulebook" if it's something their character would do, let them do it even if it's a bit weird for that race/class to be doing it
give everyone a chance to shine, try to create scenarios both in the combat and in the story that will allow each persons character to be pivotal to that particular part
If the exclusive is because sony/microsoft/nintendo/whoever forked over a stack of cash to a game in development to lock it out from being released on other platforms that sucks
If Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo/Whoever is funding development of a game to create an appeal for their platform that's fantastic
Saving games that wouldnt have been finished like Bayonetta 2? great
Localizing games that otherwise wouldnt have been translated like Yakuza? fantastic
ONE MONTH EXCLUSIVE CALL OF DUTY MAPS!!!! get out of here with that nonsense
Definitely check out::
Magical Pokaan (it's not as serious as the OP looks, it's hilarious)
Ika Musume (very cute squid girl slice of life)
These arent quite as on the nose but still consider checking them out
Spice & Wolf
Is this a Zombie?
It's funny to me to see gamers be so thirsty for games release as if they really need more games.
"Man, my backlog is totally empty and i have played/beaten every single game i own or wanted to play! If only this company could release more games! I have nothing to play right now!" Said no gamer, ever.
Just chill out and enjoy what is out there people.
but I AM enjoying what's out there, it's not a problem for me, it's a problem for Nintendo, there are literally more must have games coming out in one day in january for PS4 than Switch for 2017 for me.
I think they HAVE listened in some ways, region free is a good step but it's only just bringing them up to par in some areas
I want nintendo to do well, I want everyone to do well, I want a thriving industry where everyone can succeed. I just dont understand what Nintendo is doing. Wii had little first party software in its later years, so you'd assume they were saving stuff for Wii U, then Wii U still had very little so maybe you'd hope the held stuff back for Switch and still so little.
I want a new Advance Wars with online play, maybe add a little Pokemon GO to it, you have to go places irl and jump up and down there to claim the location, it'd be funny
I want a new Camelot RPG, if they'd announced Golden Sun switch or something that'd be amazing but no, Nintendo will just have them make some filler tennis game or some nonsense
There's so much Nintendo could be doing and I dont know why they're doing so little and the fact that other companies are doing so much more doesnt really help nintendo
I think it's well worth looking into Stardew Valley, Darkest Dungeon, VA11 HALL-A and Owlboy
but if you're thinking of going into indie development you should probably go for a genre you're passionate about & knowledgeable about yourself rather than picking up on the trends of games that started development anywhere from 2-10 years ago
Valkyria Chronicles Remastered if you didnt play it on PS3, it's a wonderful story with loads of great characters and mixes turn based and action in a really great way where you can enjoy the excitement of action but you dont need the reflexes as much
Here's my mix of predictions and hopes
Ridge Racer Type 4 remake with a demo for Ridge Racer type 4-2
Ace Combat remake with a demo for 7
Soul Calibur reboot. Talim, Taki, Hwang etc are back, a Tale of souls and swords retold.
Armored Core 6
Resident Evil 7
Devil May Cry 5
New Megaman, looks kinda bad but not as bad as Mighty No 9
Skies of Arcadia Remastered
Streets of Rage reboot
New Sonic game, possibly sonic adventure 3
Final Fantasy 9 announced for PS4, it's just the PC version, Hashimoto laughs, cue years of debate whether that means anything
Freedom Wars remastered
Freedom Wars 2 PS4 only
Their big budget JRPG is announced but it's VR only
new Fromsoft game Cyber Souls
I used to be a really big fan of Giant Bomb but i the last few years they just became so miserable and negative I had to stop listening.
I think EZA has a good balance of interesting feelings about games, even if some of them hate a game there's usually somebody there to argue a case for it
My absolute favourite piece ever is the theme of Grandia and I'm really happy to see someone posted it already, allies got good taste
Tears to Tiara II
As a boy before you
I love me some JRPG OSTs
@TheMarcV Justice should never be up to the mob. ;)
What we need is a wise and great dictator
I think I am a wise and great dictator
No-one else gets a say since mob rule is bad and I am the wise and great dictator after all
The Wise and Great Dictator (Love & Respect be upon him) demands the three trials of Dance Battle, Soul Calibur and Quiplash to decide this
One of the greatest strategy RPGs ever with ridiculously huge scale battles, never released in english but has fan translations. There was a new game on 3ds but it's terrible
Alhough well loved by most who played it, the series was left dormant until a terrible reboot by square enix on 3ds
FEDA: Emblem of Justice
The Shining Force sequel you never knew existed! This game is very VERY similar to shining force and was developed by many of the same staff, sadly again only released in japan to little fanfare.
Only the 5th game got a western release as So Long, My love and not many people played it, well worth checking out if you get a chance
Very fun mecha SRPG, I believe you can pick it up on PSN these days and it has really likeable funny characters
Hapy to see some people mentioning stuff like Thousand Arms already, really love that game. If you like it you should check out the Ar Tonelico series and vice versa
