@Stephleref Literally none of those games have reviewed as well as BOTW. Relax.
Not everyone is "out to get Nintendo". I dare say almost nobody is. Sometimes people will give a game a 90 and it doesn't mean that the world is ending, it just means that reviewer, while they were playing, had a slightly less than perfect experience.

Honestly, folks. Back away from the hyperbole here.

BOTW has zero mixed or negative reviews on MC out of 74 reviewers, by the way. ZERO. A 90 is not a mixed review. A 4.5/5 review is not a mixed review. Everyone take a deep breath here. There has never been a unanimous 10/10 game, and there never will be. This is likely to be the closest you'll ever see.

You guys are missing the point, It's not about the review score itself, i don't really give a shit about reviews period, i won't say i don't care AT ALL because if Persona 5 gets like a 4-5/10 i'll be curious and look at the reviews but 7-8-9-10/10? It's on pre-order and i'll play it regardless. If you are gonna care about frame rate review wise for a game then i want to see you do it for all of them. It doesn't matter if it's a 5 stars game or 1 star game. You also can't act like if a negative is said in a review that i just can't say anything about it just because of the score. Even locked 30 FPS should not be accepted on these consoles if you wanna judge frate rate frankly.

In this thread: people complain about what's arguably been the best reviewed game of all time not being given fair treatment by the press.

Nope, i'm simply amazed by the sillyness that people feel the need to rag on Nintendo even when they make a fucking 10 / 98 on metacritic. We gotta go out of our way to discredit it because Nintendo. Then people want to be taken seriously when they complain about them. Why should i when they make a 10 and you still can't just be fucking happy for once?

Telltale has received univeral praise and multiple GOTY awards from Walking Dead Season 1 and not once their terrible engine on console has been put the review score of 94 of their game into question. I have already given other exemples with Skyrim and other open worlds game who are excused for their flaws because "well it's open world". That's my issue.

A whole lot of the PS3 games ran at 30 FPS and easily dipped to 20 FPS (Far Cry 3 being an exemple) and i don't remember gamers and journalist making a big deal about it or removing review points for it. Yet it was standard. For fucks sake Skyrim PS3/360 are essentially unaffected review wise to the PC version and for that game we're not just talking about frame drop but they were prone to crashing and a buggy mess. But of course it's Nintendo and when it's Nintendo it's somehow worst and we gotta make a big deal about it even tho they are one of the few gaming companies out there who actually make games that run at 60 FPS.

@Stephleref But mainline RE was never 1st person in the past, and I personally don't want 1st person to be the future of it. I really hope they don't mess up RE2make, it should be what REmake was to RE1.

It's not about the 1st person perspective but the mind set of those changes that is similar to RE. RE7 may be 1st person but it's totally Resident Evil. I'm not asking for much, just do what they're doing with World of Final Fantasy or I am Setsuna at the AAA level.

Final Fantasy used to be so good that people would debate about getting a Sony system just to play the latest FF game kinda like people are doing now with Zelda and the Switch. Now even the people who like FF pretty much agree that Persona and Nier: Automata (and Ni No Kuni and etc...) is more exciting.

@Stephleref And how does Capcom fit into that?

Resident Evil 6 was nothing like RE in an attempt to be "modern" and catering to non fans and they fixed that with RE7. Turns out they are still one of the best when they stopped being retarded and catering to their fans again. Final Fantasy is and has been doing the same dumb shit of trying to be modern and catering to non fans of the series. I will shit on this series with everything i have until they fucking do. I will NEVER accept this fucking bullshit.

Square is dead set on XV''s, Nier's, KH's and FFVII Re's live action combat so complaining about it is a bit of a futile effort.

I'll still bitch about it and hate it and demand they change it until they do like Capcom with Resident Evil.

@DMCMaster Replace "amiibo" with "99 cent micro transaction".

Except instead of "99 cent" you replace it with "$15 - $100 each".

They could just sell the figurines and no one would say anything, instead they sell the figurines and include neat little perks for the people who buys them so of course people complain.

    • RE: How are people comfortable paying full price for games?

People probably have more disposable incomes than you and don't feel like waiting so, they don't. I'm cheap too but i saw no reason to wait for the new Zelda for exemple since Nintendo games don't really drop in price anyway and i know i'm getting my moneys worth easily.

As for pre-orders, i do it when i get a perk. I got Final Fantasy XV, Battlefield 1, Resident Evil 7 and the new South Park game all at 50$ each with a pre-order and i'm in Canada where those games are 80$ each.

True, people should take more responsibility for their actions instead of whining about companies all the time, i have said this multiple times. People loved trashing Might No9 (and No Man Sky) and playing the blame game accusing everyone but alot of those people kickstarted it aka they handed their money to a game that wasnt made yet. Instead of making a smart purchase decision and waiting for the game to come out before parting with your money you made the decision to give it away based on trust. I don't feel sorry for you, you were being an idiot.

You gotta be smart about it, i don't mind buying Nintendo games or Persona 5 or South Park or Red Dead Redemption 2 on day 1 because to me it's extremly clear what i'm gonna get and i see little to no risk. Even with Final Fantasy XV i knew i probably was not gonna like it but Final Fantasy means alot to me and i wanted to play it when it came out so i did. As expected i did not like it at all but it was my own decision. I will also avoid buying most Ubisoft games on release because i know that they overstock stores with them and they drop in price super fast. (South Park is an exception of course) Point is i'm always suprised to see so many gamers who don't even seem to know who they are and what they like and get surprised everytime they buy something and complain about being screwed. I don't get that.
