@yoshi I mean, there's like 5 announced Ps5 games, and like 3 of them are also cross platform XSX games. We know about Godfall, and there's a LOTR Gollum game coming.
XSX has something like 15 announced games (including upgraded ports) and while most of them will PROBABLY come to the PS5 (like Cyberpunk, for example) they haven't been confirmed yet. Then there's Gears, Forza, Halo, Obsidian's RPG, and Everwild that are confirmed from internal MS studios.
Well, I mean, right now they have like 13 more announced games than Sony, and now their specs are out. Sony isn't announcing anything right now - so news is news.
And I'm definitely getting a PS5 (unless they totally botch it) but it's nice to see Xbox with a competitive product. I might get one of those too this gen.
Assuming I ever get a job and the world doesn't end.
I mean, you might get SOME of that kind of thing with Persona, as it's generally become a series about high school age teenagers, but in general those tropes are usually subverted. If there's someone really creepy - they are almost always bad guys. Some general teen horniness tho. I dont think it's anything worse than like Saved by the Bell, or 90210 or other teen focused stuff (I'm dating myself here)
There's an unfortunately stereotyped duo of gay dudes that are minor recurring characters that get played up as overly friendly bordering on predatory. Which is sad, and would not fly in a Western game. It's literally less than a 5 minutes in a 100h game though, and I think the intention was more like "lets scare these kids a little bit, they probably shouldn't be hanging out in the red light district after dark" kinda deal - but if that's the case the intention was muddled a bit in localization.
That's the only thing I can think of that isn't handled particularly well in the game.
@axel define anime-ness I guess? I mean, the actual P5 Anime wasn't very good. Does that mean that the game itself isn't as anime? Or just that the anime was bad? lol
Yeah, its long - but to me it's not actually the LENGTH that was the issue before - but the pacing. Certain sections of the game really dragged. Supposedly that has been addressed in Royal, and even with all the additional content in Royal, the overall playtime is supposedly pretty much the same as the original because they've tightened up some of the stuff that went on too long.
I don't think many retailers in the US close for Christian holidays outside of like Christmas day itself. The US is specifically secular on a Federal level, and it's not a recognized National holiday.
I've never heard of any major retailer anywhere closing for Good Friday. Even in the handful of states that observe it as a State holiday.
Just finished Yakuza 5. So now that I've officially completed all the mainline games outside of 7, my personal ranking is 0, 4, kiwami2 (Y2), 6, 5, 3, kiwami (Y1).
Shinada's batting minigames being totally different than everyone else's.
5 cities! And some smaller areas like the hunting village. I immediately knew my way around Sapporo, having been there IRL before, but I got lost in Nagoya... lol
Surprisingly, I liked the rhythm game Haruka dance mechanics a lot. I'd buy a Yakuza dancing all night.
