Glad we still have this place to fall back on. Feeling sickened by what has come out on Neogaf and disappointed in myself for not seeing the signs sooner.

Thinking it was his GF since he has referred to his experiences over there a lot with the collective "we" which seems quite affectionate for a work colleague. Maybe I'm reading too much into it!

I honestly wouldn't even care about TGS, I'd just love to send Ben to Japan with a camera on the condition that he vlogs for a week. It'd make for some fantastic videos!

I can understand their reluctance towards it though when not everyone is full time and they haven't acquired more important things like their studio but I'd still really love it.

The first step is probably to determine the cost of such a trip, how many would travel and for how long. If they can do it for a couple of thousand it might really be good value for the channel.

I'm all for Kyle's shenanigans but I didn't find this one particularly funny. Usually when he weasels out of bets he does so in a way that's entertaining and funny for everyone, but I don't think this particularly was other than for the people who wanted to laugh at the disappointment of others who were looking forward to a critical playthrough of one of their favourite games.

I watched both his streams and I didn't really get the impression Kyle was reveling in the trolling or any such, he just seemed to simply not want to spend 16 hours playing a game he didn't like and was committed to doing whatever it took to not doing that. Not really in the spirit of betting or the making of a fun stream.

Of course if he does come out for the 3rd stream and play a marathon of lttp then he's a trolling genius and took us all for a ride :laughing:

I found it funny. I'm ok with Kyle's trolling so long as he actually plays the game.

GT always did my favourite reviews which I'd been watching for as long as I've had internet which could handle running videos! I never had any sort of affiliation with GT until around 2013 when I got into the Final Bosman and Pach Attack.
Funnily enough I think the video which really introduced me to the wider GT cast was the very first Buttons video of him arriving in a box in wandering around the office. It made me take note of the people he was talking to and the other things they were involved with. I was hooked at that point.

Well into Tales of Zestiria. It started slow but it's really grown on me as the plot progresses and characters develop, surprised on the sort of moral issues it touches on. A long backlog follows that stretching back to last years releases, I've been falling too much into Ben's philosophy of "buy everything, play what you can" lately! I hope to get to Blood and Wine and finish Uncharted 4 before the end of the month though.

And of course I'm always playing Hearthstone!

@seppo91 I don't know if it makes sense but it does in my mind! I feel like Nintendo may be compelled to release some content to tide over fans until the NX next year with a very barren release schedule and a lack of resources since they're likely busy with NX software.
There's things they could do for this, DLC for existing games a lot of people own, HD remakes/ports or localisations of games never released in the west.

It's something they've done a bit in recent years and with Mother 1 being ported last E3 and Earthbound already on the store it shows its a series on their radar. They joked about it in their E3 2014 claymation presentation thing, so they're aware at a company level that this is a fan favourite request.
It seems like the ideal solution for pleasantly surprising fans with an announcement without actually spending a lot on production costs.

Or they might announce nothing, I can dream! :)

I actually think Nintendo will announce Mother 3 on their treehouse streams. I have reasons behind that prediction but I'll just let you all think I'm a crazy person!

Thankfully the things I love are still alive to some degree so I've never had that moment of thinking something was gone forever and then suddenly feeling the delight of its return. I had some mini Huber moments from the first Persona 5 trailer when it was exactly what I wanted and the FF7 remake even being a thing at all.

A strange one was how I felt during E3 2013 when Sony revealed no-disc DRM, it wasn't mega excitement or anything but it was really significant to me that at a time when I was losing faith in the industry and the people who controlled it that they'd do something like really spoke to me that they understood and respected their customers.
A false dawn was the E3 Square Enix preview video last year where they used Frog's theme from Chrono Trigger as background music. Sadly nothing as come from that yet. :cry:
