Some people here may have seen some of my stuff at the beginning of Kyle's streams if not my Twitter has all the stuff I have done for Kyle's streams if you want to take a look (https://twitter.com/VexChaneu). my prefered medium is just a regular ol ink pen as it's quick and dirty but I really love all art mediums and I dabble in all of them. I have personally never had any art classes (middle school had some pottery) I just doodled all the time which my teachers hated because the sides of all of my homework were just littered with odd little doodles.
@Killericon again it's not the size of the map that concerns me it's what you can do in the game that concerns me.
edit: for the record let me say I don't think Skyrim is a bad game I just think it's a bad Elder Scrolls game
here is a post I made 5 years ago on Bethesda forums that I feel sums up my thoughts on Skyrim.
10(or more) things I dislike about Skyrim
Repetitive dialog and terrible writing (a lot of the books are ok)
Lack of magic options, here is a list of magic from other TES games that are no longer in.
a lot of Bound Weapons
Summon : Ghost,Scamp,Clannfear,Spider Daedra,Wraith,Lich,Xivila,Skeleton,Zombie,Bonelord,Golden Saint,Bonewalker,Hunger,Winged Twilight.
Weakness to Fire,Frost,Shock,Poison,Magicka
Fortify : health,magicka, attribute,fatigue,skill
Divine and Almsivi Interventions
Lack of weapon options spear, melee staff, crossbow, throwing weapons, short swords and clubs all of which have been in TES games before.
Hand holding meaning the GPS compass, fast travel and floating quest arrows and the fact that even if you turn these things off or choose not to fast travel it does not change the fact that the game was designed for you to use them.
Worlds interaction with you seems non existent except for the occasional guard who will randomly mention something you have done or something you are good at, unfortunately these are soulless reactions a couple of examples are a guard will ask you to enchant his sword you cant(I would love to enchant stuff for them) or if you are a werewolf and kajht they will still mention the fur in your ears.
Easy EASY game the only time I can die is if i crank the difficulty all the way up and I start getting careless.
Lack of attributes makes characters feel less unique and the perks are often useless.
No real innovation in the series, all they seem to do was make it look better, other then that they brought back randomized quests(daggerfall)
Not being able to walk through a town without starting conversations that lead to quests
(I just want to walk to the store) and if you don't sit there and listen to the conversion then and there it is gone forever.
The journal or should I say the lack thereof
Special mentions : Short guild quests and gender specific clothes
it's to hard for me to choose a favorite as it changes all the time, instead I will choose three lesser known games that I remember fondly.
Azure Dreams a rougelike were you catch monsters and build up a town, I spent well over a 100 hours in this game.
King's Bounty I am talking about the Sega Genesis one, a game I enjoyed so much I didn't mind writing down the egregiously long passwords to load back in.
Evil Zone a ps1 fighting game with a lot of flair and very simple controls I spent many hours with friends playing this game.
Special Mentions : Oblivion's Dark Brotherhood quest line was the best thing about Oblivion.
Watching this live right now... it's like a 100 degrees outside and their making sonic dance this will be the death of him.
edit : went back to stream after typing that and Sonic is gone I'm just gonna assume he died ...RIP
edit 2 : Oh man ... they are giving Konami E3 a run for their money ... I feel bad for them this looks like it cost a lot of money, at least the people there seem to be enjoying themselves.
edit 3 : ok ... ok are they doing this on purpose if so I doff my cap to them ... I feel so bad for them everything feels like it is going wrong.
edit 4 : Sonic getting led on stage and off stage by a handler is for some reason the funniest thing in the world to me.
edit 5 : I can't breath this can not be real.
edit 6 : Brought to you by Totino's
edit 7 : Did I mention Totino's
edit 8 : whoever said laughter is the best medicine is a liar, I'm dying here.
edit 9 : so far the games have looked ok, amazing considering the chaos they are surrounded in.
edit 10 : oh... I spoke to soon Sonic Lego looks like a nightmare.
edit 11 : getting the audience to say SEGA was pretty cool.
edit 12 : at least it ended on a good note, what a rollar coaster ... I regret nothing.
@michemagius I just watched the first two episodes of the new series and I think it is pretty good I think the animation is too clean looking the older series had a lower budget I think and as a result, they played around with filters and it gave it a unique feel, I didn't much care for the second episode of the new as it was a truncated version of the two-part colosseum from the first series. All in all, though I think it will turn out ok I hope they slow their pace down as it goes on.
