I finished the new Doom and Platinumed the PS4 version of Final Fantasy VII (replayed whole thing with my gf). Had a blast with both

RE: Board Games!
Pandemic Legacy is amazing. I'm about halfway through the season with a group of friends. I recommend it if you can get a group that will stick together for at least 12 plays of it you definitely go for it.
On your list I see Zombicide - I recommend getting the newest edition, Zombicide Black Plague - which has a medieval theme but also fixes a lot of rules that were kind of annoying in the base game. Also the production values of BP are amazing, especially the player boards and such.
King of Tokyo is also a really fun quick game, make sure to get the Power Up expansion if you buy it as it makes the monsters unique instead of all the same. Base game the only difference between them is aesthetics.
RE: Metroidvanias that aren't Metroid or Castlevania, which are your favourites?
Shantae and the Pirate's Curse is amazing. I loved the pirate item mechanic so much. Can't wait for 1/2 Genie 1/2 Hero
RE: [Official] What are you playing?
Doing a replay of Borderlands 2 because the Handsome Collection was super cheap on PSN
Playing Dying Light co-op (amazing)
Just Platinumed Zero Time Dilemma (also amazing)
And as always, Overwatch. I've got like 70 hours in so far, don't feel the need to play ranked and enjoying Quick Play.
RE: What are the top 5 most overrated games of this generation?
OP is too salty, waiter can you take this back to the kitchen please
RE: Anyone else new to forums?
First new forum I've joined in years - but I've been a member of a pretty dead forum for over a decade. Pretty close knit bunch of people for that time, but I can see it dropping off. Kind of a bummer!
Anyway, nice to see the good vibes here.
RE: Clearly we got some Persona fans here. Are there any MegaTen (not Persona) fans in the house?
My favorite PS2 RPG is SMT: Nocturne. My collection is
SMT Nocturne + IV
Digital Devil Saga 1+2
Raidou 1 + 2
Devil Survivor Overclocked
SMT Strange Journey
Persona 1 PSP, Innocent Sin PSP, Eternal Punishment PSX
Persona 3 (FES and Portable)
Persona 4 (vanilla and Golden)
RE: Games you feel compelled to go back and replay?
God, I wish I had the time to replay games with my massive backlog (first world problem)
I'd love to go back and replay Suikoden I, II, III, and V. These are some of my favorite games ever. I've only played through the original multiple times, and I missed a few Stars of Destiny in II and V on my only playthroughs.
Other than that, I'd like to replay Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, Dragon Age: Origins, and Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (HD version that I bought and haven't opened).
There's dozens more but I won't go into them.
RE: OFFICIAL FAN ART THREAD (unless there's already a fan art thread)
That's super well done. Awesome
If he doesn't see it maybe tweet it to him?
RE: Where should I start with the Persona series?
It really depends on how much time you have. Persona 3 is really excellent and is definitely worth playing - but if you're strapped for time and can only play one I would pick Persona 4 (Golden if you can). But I think you'd appreciate the series more if you played 3, 4, then 5.
RE: What Podcasts (besides the obvious EZAP and Frame Trap) do you listen to?
Videogames: EZA Podcast, Frame Trap, DLC with Jeff Cannata and Christian Spicer, CAGCast, PS I Love You, GameInformer Podcast (mostly cuz I like Ben Hansen, the host)
Other: Weekly Planet (Comic book/movies)
