    • Visual Works Character Prototype from Square Enix

Not sure if many peeps saw this but looked insane for me :D

      Youtube Video

This character prototype probably isn't going to lead to any game but one can dream :)

They also posted what they have worked on in the past with Square Enix:

      Youtube Video

Watching that video brings back many memories I've had playing Square Enix games, the stuff Visual Works produces is super high quality easily one of the best in the biz.

Haven't posted here in a long time but thought I would share these with fellow Allies. ^^ (sorry if this has been posted already)

    • Gaming Headset Replacement

The last one I bought was the Sony Playstation Pulse Elite Wireless Headset while I loved these as the sound quality was amazing and they looked great the hingers were too weak and have snapped overtime, they lasted for about 1yr and been taping them up over and over as I didn't want to spend more money on a new pair but I've come to the point where they just ain't comfortable to wear anymore so need a replacement!

Looking to buy a new headset mainly for my PS4 for gaming and PC for videos etc so it has to be able to work on both those devices. My knowledge is limited in gaming headsets and I see so many reviews on Amazon etc I'm not sure which ones to get.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance allies :D

    • RE: Is it okay to form an opinion about a game without finishing it?

      @GoTaco

Yes some games do not change over the course of finishing it but you cannot come to that conclusion until you in fact finish it as I said you are only assuming that the rest of the game will be like that through the whole game which isn't really a valid opinion to say it is a bad game, its only an assumption that it will be like that. However if you do finish it then you can say it does not, like with your example with Far Cry 2 then you can come to that conclusion however if you do not finish it then you simply won't know for sure.

Lots of games introduce all sorts of new gameplay in the game, like minigames, new weps, new abilities, side quests, different enemies etc. There are far more games that change over the course of the full game than stay the exact same as you started it that might change your opinion while you are playing through it from start to finish whether it changes from good to bad or from bad to good.

I have never played the Far Cry series but I would not say or know what the game is like before I started to play it, while I am playing the game I cannot say the gameplay will remain the same from start to finish until I actual finished it.... therefore I cannot say the gameplay is bad or good within the first few hrs as I simply would not know if it did change or did not change unless someone else told me it remained the same through out the whole game.

It's the exact same with Brandon with FF7 he does not know for sure if he will like the game or not until he actually finishes it, he is only assuming that he will not because "he does not have the time to play it" "prefers FF6" these reasons are not valid reasons to dislike the game and Bradley gets mad because of that, due to Brandon only playing the first few hrs instead of finishing the full game giving real valid reasons why he did not like it when other do like it. If however Brandon did finish FF7 then said he preferred FF6 over it giving some actual valid reasons why, Bradley probably would of accepted that.

    • Hearthstone Looking For Allies

Hey all started playing Hearthstone a few months ago been slowly grinding myself new cards and struggling through the rank games (rank 15 is my highest so far)

My main problem is none of my friends play the game so I can't really complete the daily quest "Watch and Learn" where you have to watch a friend win a match in spectator mode to get a pack of cards, any of the players I keep adding just ain't active enough or have stopped playing.

So I'm searching for some Allies! :) and maybe other Allies are in the same boat as me and also want to add some peeps from the EZA community.

I play on the EU servers and my ID name is: Zellos#2839

Please add me I need em new packs

    • RE: Is it okay to form an opinion about a game without finishing it?

I still disagree with everyone who are saying you can have a valid opinion on a game that you haven't finished.

The main reason is if you play the 1st 10% of a game and then say this game isn't good and you stop playing it based on that you are simply assuming that the rest of the game is the same therefore is a bad game.

If you do not finish a game:

      • You have no clue what the story will bring.
      • You have no clue what other characters there is later on.
      • You have no clue what the rest of the game's world/setting has in it.
      • You have no clue if the gameplay/combat would of improved with depth later on.
      • You have no clue what other type of music the rest of game has.
      • Plus any other aspects of the game you really have no clue what they are really like.

If you do not finish a game you are basically just making assumptions of what the game really is like but you simply do not know. It's like looking at the front cover of a game and dismissing it just because you don't like the artwork it's ridiculous.

I'm sorry but your opinion is simply not a valid one if you have not finished it, you cannot say that a game was bad like Brandon did because he gives no good reasons to why he did not like it expect for liking FF6 more.

If however you did finish a game then you are entirely entitled to say how bad/good each aspects of the game is as you experienced it all. You cannot do this after only playing a small part of the game as you are only assuming that it is bad/good.

If many people are saying that a game is great/amazing and that you should play it like for example with FF7 then you tried for 1hr so did not finish it and you did not like, you have no clue whether or not you would of liked it if you carried on and if you did finish it in end maybe your opinion would of changed. This has happened several times to me with games, anime and tv series I stopped after a few episodes or hrs of playing and found them to be average at best but when I eventually went back to finish them they ended up being some of best experiences I ever had. Some however did not improve and ended up being bad still but then my opinion is totally valid as I can say why I did not like it and give valid reasons to which parts or aspects of it that led to me coming to that conclusion.

Remember a game that has not been finished that you did not like can always change your opinion when you do in fact finish it.

But a game that you did finish and did not like cannot change your opinion as there is nothing left to change your mind.

    • RE: Is it okay to form an opinion about a game without finishing it?

Anyone can have an opinion that doesn't mean it's a good or valid opinion. You can have an opinion on anything even if you have only tried it, never played it or barely know anything about it but for me that doesn't mean that opinion has any really meaning to it, it's kind of an invalid and pointless viewpoint if you can't really give good enough reasons why you have come to that conclusion and people would say the same thing to you: "you have not played enough of it". You don't see reviewers playing a game for the 1st 10% and then giving their opinion on it as that would make it a pointless review and meaningless. If you haven't finished it you can only give your initial impressions on it on the amount of time you actually played or if you haven't even tried it you can only based your opinion on the things you seen which isn't really playing it which is the whole point of gaming in the 1st place.

I would change your question to: Is it necessary to finish a game to form a "good enough" opinion about it?

The answer to this is yes you have to finish a game to have a good enough opinion about it as some games have great starts but have bad endings, others start off bad but end up being great, your opinion can easily change over the course of the full game especially if that game is extremely long. Also your opinion isn't valid to others who have finished it as you can't really have a proper discussion about it, you can't really give legit reasons why you hated or loved it as you don't know enough about it just like Brandon and Bradley with FFVII, the reasons Brandon gives is kinda disrespectful as he doesn't really give any real valid reasons to why he does not like it and this made Bradley mad about it as Brandon's opinions ain't good enough to come to that conclusion when he simply hasn't finished the game.

    • RE: Kyle Bosman cheating E3 bets last evening.

I really don't get how ppl think there was some loophole in the contract when Huber asked Kyle to stream the game he obviously meant play the game himself while streaming... Kyle also knew this but still tried to worm his way out of doing it.

I think the Judging yesterday made it clear that the contract does not need to be exactly worded for both parties to know what was meant, Kyle knew he should of played it while streaming it from start to finish as he clearly knew this before he signed the contract that Huber meant that.

I don't even get the whole fuss about this Kyle has not streamed the game from start to finish he streamed someone else streaming it which was not said was allowed in the contract either.

If Kyle was not sure what was meant or if he was allowed to stream someone else's stream he would of asked if this was ok but he clearly knew that he was not suppose to but still did anyways for trolling purposes...

Everyone knows that this was case and it wasn't even funny from Kyle doing this it just made him a douchebag... although I did find the trial a good laugh xD
